GTASL 2 Organisation

Im putting my hand up for running GTASL 2, and have come up with a system of a league that I plan to run through with. This topic im creating so people can get an idea of what to expect in the league and also to look for support in the form of judges. If you believe you are knowledgable enough about stunting in the VC engine and are able to put the time in please PM me an expression of interest. At this point Im looking for three judges (who will not be able to compete), not a lengthy discussion about the format i have chosen to run the league by.

Attached is the system this league will run by

Very organised, I definitely want to be apart of it, as a stunter.

Section One of the tournament there will be 3 stunt challenges, on a given week all matches will proceed using the same challenge to ensure equal ground for all competitiors.

That was my main complaint with the original league, glad to see you're changing that.

This topic will not be for the submission of stunt entries and for the publication of judges votes only for discussion of the challenge and for the 'signing in' process. In GTASL 2 once stunters have completed their stunt for the round they will submit their replay.rep file in a clearly marked archive to the leagure organiser within the week of the challenge being posted (which will be posted weekly)

This I have a problem with because I believe you are implying that stunts will be pmed?  I believe it should be a spectator sport for all eyes to see.  I know this can create problems with the judges being influenced but then again, if you have good judges, it shouldn't be a problem.

In any case I'll help out in any way I can.  Maybe I'll talk to roo about having the league featured on the main site.

Edit:  Read the end...  silly me.  I donno though, watching the videos and then waiting in suspense for a judgement would be best to me.

Had another thought too, someone should run some kind of betting system.  As long as an admin enforced it, it would work out nicely.

... stunts completed in this competition will be done so using GTA: Vice City only, this is for the sake of consistency for stunters and familiarity for judges.

Yeah, only for VC.

True about the judges, im hoping the suspence on the matchup and the dicussion on how each will approach it will be the main reason people will post in the round topic. Also with the PM system im planning to make the replays confidential...so that the judges only know which pool they are judging at each point (by the challenge) and not the specific competitors

That's a good system, I'm pretty happy someone sought to improve on what I had created.

Good system, but I don't like that only 8 stunters take part in this league(i don't count the qualifying rounds). Maybe we can make a sort of a football system? I mean Leagues A/B/C. After the end of the GTASL 2 people who got into the B/C leagues finals get to the A/B league at the next stunting league. And 2 people who take 4th places in the A group get to the B group. Group C is reorganised.
Or if you don't want to leagues you can make just 2 - A and B, it would be easier. After the end of the league all stunters from league A except those who took 4th places in their groups + 2 best stunters from league B get into the league A, group B will be filled with people who will take the first places in the qualifing. In the next GTA SL(GTA SL 2). Group B will be filled with people who got 2nd places in the qualifying.

I'd actually like to be a stunter this time. I'm still having trouble with VC though.

Nicely organised, but I think 10 or 12 stunters should be enough, because if many people wanted to apply then.. yeah. I may take part if there is a slot left after all the competetors join. <_<

EDIT: WEREWOLF's idea is great too.
