I made this topic cos i couldnt do so in the stunt league section. I figured people could post suggestions for (hopefully) future stunt league tournaments, what they liked about the first, what they didnt like etc

I had an idea to help prevent people using stunts already landed that happend to fit the challenge criteria suggested, although this was not really an issue in the first competition a safeguard would still be nice. Basically for each challenge the participants must use a custom carcols.dat created for that challenge...eg such as making all vehicles a single colour, this would mean any stunts landed would need to be done with vehicles that are the 'challenge' colour

That's a nice idea.

I think all challenge ideas should be made up before the first one takes place, and have maybe like 5 extra challenge ideas incase something happens.

I personally would like to see a league with conferences and divisions. Every stunter (max of about 30) would compete once a week for maybe 10-12 weeks (10-12 matches each stunter).

We could set up the matches in the same way we did for the GTASL except we would have the public judge each match (<_< I worry about favoritism and other bullshit) or get a panel of judges and assign one match to three of them (so each match would have three judges, but they won''t be the same for all matches that week).

I like this so that everyone gets to compete a bunch of times instead of just once like half of the participants in the GTASL did.

Nice suggestion kr3m, but I know a way to change the colour of vehicles in old replays.

Noapologies, do you mean like everyone has a certain amount of matches and than the person with the most wins at the end is the winner? I think that would be a cool idea.

Another option is to verify the creation date of the replay.rep files by the judges.
Or can that be influenced by adjusting the time/date-settings in Windows?

Not too sure about changing the windows time and date, but I'm sure there would be a program out there somewhere which would edit the modified date of a file for you.

Yeah prob.
Although ppl would go through alot of trouble cheating the competition.

I can't think of another solution for this matter, other than posting some very original challenges.

I want a tourney with a losers bracket, for the noobs like me :P

Can't you tell if someone steals a stunt? If it's performed EXACTLY the same way as someone elses, then it's cheating.

I like the idea of a running competition like some actual league with a ladder etc. As long as you can have regular competitiors and judges it would be sweet....

I was thinking of a playoff system for those with the best records. If we could get two conferences with 12-18 stunters we could do a playoff with 6-8 stunters in each conference. That way you still have the drama of the last GTASL and everyone gets to participate a bunch of times.

It would take a long time but it would work much nicer.  It would actually help improve the skills of the needy instead of just fine tune those who already have them.
