It's just "women constitute less than 20 percent of arrests for most crime categories in the United States" (c)
Americas most notorious female criminals

And there are little to no defined female gangsters in the USA in the 21st century. So the character is just unlikely.

It's interesting how in a fictional game that often bends the laws of physics and reality, a game where a male character can somehow carry an entire military surplus on their person, glide a bike upside down for miles at a time, repeatedly cheat death despite the circumstances and a myriad of other unlikely scenarios is simply glossed over, but people want to start pulling out facts and statistics to dispute the legitimacy of a female lead.

Also, since when is being a "defined gangster" of any gender considered necessary for being a lead character? By definition, a gangster is a member of a gang of violent criminals. Claude was introduced as a failed bank robber who starts his career off doing street level crimes, Niko was ex military and two of V's main leads are ex bank robbers now retired. GTA3 starts off with Claude and Catalina robbing a bank which sets the tone/story for the majority of the game, this is also referenced again in SA with Catalina and CJ, and now again with Jason and Lucia committing robberies, except this time around it's a problem or unlikely because hurrr less than 20% of crimes? lol

This is a rather profound collation of what was actually shown in the trailer by IGN

The trailer really hyped me up and i believe the dynamic of the protagonist being a couple is cool. I dont see the issue with a female protagonist at all, more females play games now than before, turns out a lot of girls also hid their likeness of games to other girls when they were teenagers, and now that theyre adults they see the game they played as little (vice city) with a female protagonist itll of course attract sales.

I dont see how it would affect the story, most of my females friend that said to have play gta also ran around killing prostitutes, stealing shit and causing mayhem like most male players did as well.

Enjoy the game fellas, and maybe touch some grass once in a while.

I felt like killing Sonny at the end of GTAVC wasn't enough to finish the main story. My expectation was to have a conclusion on Tommy's story years later. Either through Tommy himself or another protagonist crossing roads with him. I know each of the installements have a different story with little connections but i think it's high time to delve more into these stories since they share same universe. We are playing these characters to own the criminal world so there's just no way we can't stick our nose into previous protagonists' bussiness. I think Rockstar did an excellent job with this at RDR games.

But i'm still fine with a Bonnie & Clyde story set in modern world although it's not the kind of story that'd fit into GTA. I don't know why people complaining about female protagonist but it's completely fine.

Stunting wise, i hope this just becomes the middle ground for VC SA and V stunters into the same place. May 2025 be the year GTAStunting rock and reach the glorious days again  ;D

Day 1 purchase.
I'm not sure if I'm more excited to play through the story or to stunt it afterwards.
