blazePROJECTS.
« on: May 14, 2019, 05:52:04 AM »

blazePROJECTS.
No particular reason for creating a new "shop" per say, I just wanted my own topic to showcase my work and serve as a log/lookbook of skins made past and present. Predominantly Vice City with a focus on PCJ skins although any vehicle/texture or 3D era game is a possibility. I'm always available for skin requests so if you want anything PM me on here or Discord (blaze#3627) and please be detailed with the request - sometimes these skins can take hours on end and whilst I create these skins for fun there's nothing more annoying than completing a vague request only to be told it's "not what I wanted" or "can you change xyz" etc.

SHOWCASE.
This is not a collection of my "greatest" skins per say but more so the ones I'm the happiest with. Please view all images in full size as GTAS shrinks them considerably and as such you can't really see alot of the detailing.

To view more of my work, head on over to my dA gallery which I use to host full res images - a good majority of these skins have already been gave away for free at the bottom of this topic however if you want anything specific feel free to ask: https://www.deviantart.com/blazegtas/gallery/49666065/GTA

This is an older archive of skins/resources that I gave away in 2016; it consists of skins from 2014 when I first started skinning again, some 2015/2016 skins, requests I've fulfilled, a collection of other peoples bikes, some player skins and other miscellaneous skinning resources. It'd be cool if people don't take stuff out of the requested bikes folder and use them in videos; it's just PNG's/TXD's at the end of the day but it still ties into a stunters identity. I don't mind if you play around with them in game or use them for reference but don't use them in videos or steal parts off them; use the 2014/2016 skins for that. The pass for the RAR file is "cosmicgypsies" - have fun. (Note: some of these use Paytons remapped DFF and some don't. If the TXD crashes the game open it in TXD workshop; if it has 5 images it's the original PCJ DFF and if it has more then it's the remapped. There's a couple of skins that have custom DFF's by me so they'll be in the folder too. It's slightly disorganized so apologies for that.)

Shoutout to Access Stunt Shop, Guild Stunt Shop and anyone who's ever been involved with skinning and inspired/motivated me to create them.

I've always focused mainly on PCJ's as I'm solely a Vice City stunter however I can do pretty much any vehicle in VC/SA - I've dabbled with NRG's in the past, infact according to my dA account I made one for you in 2016 :P

https://www.deviantart.com/blazegtas/art/Amaluna-640492403

So yeah, essentially any vehicle texture VC/SA wise, player skins, particles, timecycs and the occasional bit of DFF work however I'm not great at that.

I believe I made you some sort of red/black PCJ skin way back in 2009, but if you mean your current skins then no - I know Reaper made the "Challenger" bike but as for the black skin I have no idea, looking at the TXD I'd say Reaper made that also.

Anyway I made a Sanchez to match my PCJ :P

I have memories of your PCJ skins man. I remember I always wanted something like this but never got to ask you  :D I remember there was one snake-ish skin like, not sure if it was your creation though  :hmm:

Ok here is my review on each of your skins in the first post:
Top left -  outer space skin, LITERALLY. The black reminds me of the universe and the white of the nothing-ness or the unknown beyond it. I like how it has that slight invisibility in it. Also the red color gives a badass finishing touch, which I really dig in this skin.

Top middle - UV mapping gone wrong? Did you make this effect (stretched lines) intentionally or it just happened. :D If its intentionally its a trippy skin

Top Right - Thats some Sorcery type of skin bruh. Hypnotic  :jajaja:

Bottom Left - Aww yeah! The brakes remind me of a subwoofer banging some hard basses. The only reason I wouldnt stunt with this one is because I would be drooling all over my keyboard staring at that skin while radding   :cc_detective:

Bottom Middle - Reminds me of a white tiger. Would land big airs with.

Bottom Right - Those black, scars-like, stripes on the red - HNNNNGGG. Epic colors

Bottom line - fucking sexy skins man, it really seems you have invested some time and heart in each of these. Really nice color mixing and great ideas. I think you should post some of them at some Rockstars page or something.

First of all thankyou for all the feedback and comments, I believe the snake skin you're referencing was a Haywire skin as I remember it too - that being said if you ever want a skin even for shits and giggles or nostalgic purposes you know where I am :P

Nope, not broken UV mapping that effect was intentional. All of these bikes are pretty much a continuation/offspring of one another, for example the red effects on the bottom left/top left skins both move around as they're on the reflection map. The same kinda thing is applied to the top middle skin and to an extent the top right - with the top right skin I duplicated the body in the DFF and gave it a separate texture map thus allowing two reflection maps hence why the dark area of the skin has a crazy pattern on it and the rainbow area is solid.

Here's a video which shows what the bike actually looks like in game :P

Or a GIF if you're too lazy but I'd definitely recommend the video instead.

;D very cool!!!!

Thanks!

I made a PCJ for mqtH recently, nothing too crazy just a relatively simple matte grey bike with some light carbon detailing etc - super happy with the way it turned out. View in full res to see the details etc.

I also made this Sanchez for myself to match my PCJ, not the craziest skin texture wise given that the entire body/engine texture is from the reflection map and the rest was copied over from the PCJ but at this point I don't really care about complexity - rather have something that I'm happy with and looks (in my opinion) good. Had to do a little bit DFF work to put the speca on the seat area.

remember when I actually used to make an effort with skins? me neither, so here's more speca on everything bullshit. Also my schedule is free for the foreseeable future so if anyone wants any skins VC/SA whatever hit me up.
