Question 'bout "Gliding"
« on: January 16, 2017, 10:49:55 PM »
Hey friendos ...

I'm just wondering about the information if gliding still exist or not?

I read posts about the restore of the glitch and other hand in here in this forum its dead.
It seems in my game with the latest update it isnt possible to do any gliding at all.
(maybe it can only be done online...)

Sorry for this thread, but maybe someone needs the same answer.

I personally don't like this glide and i prefer to stunt without it, but i dont know if it's influences my stunts or not.

Hopefully someone can clarify this for me.

Kind regards... the unknown SluggerMan

The IV stunter is back :o And gliding is still in the game, and not just online, unless the game got updated yesterday or something like that.
If you don't want it to affect your stunts don't ever lean backwards in the air.

oh nice to hear that you remember me
... and thanks for your answer.

But i tried now 4h to glide ... no chance, even from the easiest spots (example: mt. chilliad)
doesn't work.

Sometimes there is no chance to prevent the behavior of the bump and the bike.
Maybe it's the new update that i didnt recognized or maybe it's just the trainers fault? (using for teleport and health etc.)

But for sure there is no grinding possible in my game and i just wanna know what is the normal state at the moment.

Thx for your fast answer ^^

Thanks to Slayers Comparison-Video for a long time, I can confirm that with the latest "V Title-Update"
(for PC) Gliding doesn't work anymore. As well as the more difficult bahvior for Grindings, Wallrides etc.

A lot thx to Slayer's old Video.
It clears everything up for me :)

... the only question left:
why restored Rockstar the physics if they discard it again.
Sorry for the guys they're going with gliding.

(If I'm wrong and got wrong information pls enlight me!
But I'll repeated Slayers Spots a lot to proof it. )

You're wrong mate, gliding is still in the game. Make sure you're gliding at the optimal angle in the air (135 degrees). If you're pointing at 90 degrees you are barely gliding at all, you are just gaining speed. If you're gliding at 180 degrees, you are gliding slightly, but mainly just slowing yourself down. The problem is most likely the technique you're using.

UPDATE: Also, don't try to hold the bike completely still at the same angle. Slowly rock the bike back and forth while you're gliding to push further ahead (watch Nomad Union and Evolve Stunting's latest videos for reference).

hey vanilla,

I'm doin' it right the others do in the latest teamtages or a solos.
I'm not still, i'm 'whigglin' around in this 135 degrees position even
jumped from the chilliard. There is no effect to real glide. It's true that
I gain a bit distance with leaning back and hold it but not a glide like:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IorADAXT3Bk

but maybe I'm just doing wrong
... but doesn't matter if controller or keyboard, I'm instantly falling
after i reach the peak of the jump. :/
