GPU problem?
« on: May 31, 2016, 02:04:42 PM »
Hey guys i have a prety good pc but my pc recently broke and it got send for repair to a game company where i got it. Well they replaced my old videocard with a newer one wich is amazing in my opinion but actually this is where the issue starts...

I tried to play rocket league and my screens went black and my pc was still on... i thought it was weird so i googled a little didn't find any useful information so though i could get some info here.

Well my first question is actually if my two videocards run together and if it is possible that these should run together since i trust the company they have checked all of it...

First videocard: AMD Radeon r9 290 4GB

Second videocard: AMD Radeon r9 390 8GB

I thought it was weird that they didn't put the 8gb videocard as the first one but who am i?

I just wanted to ask you guys if it is possible to run these two cards together the gamecompany where i got the pc from they said they run together but i think they cause me more problems atm. i think the 290 is actually getting way to hot ... and is causing to run my pc too much in temperature .. I wanted to ask you guys your opinion about this would love to hear some ;)

Greetings, Playboyz

a 290 and a 390 in crossfire would set the cards to the lowest performing one out of the two, so the 390 will be running at the 290 speeds and limited to 4gb vram. i'd give it a go running just the 390 and see what happens

Why would you buy a computer at a game company. What exactly is a game company? Did you install the correct drivers?

Well its a company that build pc's for people that dont even know how to build a pc .... but from my experience repairing my own pc and the time spend getting it fixed i got some to know about pcs.... and yeah the drivers were installed. Just brought the pc away once again.... well lets see how they will fix it and if they dont i make a fucking complain like crazy. im done with this bs.

If u put them together, the 290 would limit the 390's performances. It's shit ik but that's the reality of pc trash shit.
Btw do u have a decent cooling system for ur gpu ? And what's ur cpu ?

He apparently got a new watercooling system just because last time the pc was being shit, was when the pc was overheating apparently
