need music suggestions!
« on: September 24, 2014, 10:30:32 PM »
hey hello

i'm looking for something kind of specific really. an old wow player linked this on their twitter and i forgot i was following them but i was like why not, and holy FUCK

Orbital - Halcyon On and On

this thing is literally mindblowing! I was feeling so shitty and was just sitting in my dark room looking into new music while being completely unproductive and I started having outer body experiences and shit. not a lot of tracks can change my view on how beautiful music is but this..oh my fuck

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKw5mbcE7VY&list=PLNMozbSlkxWMuZ301ZmAHoRDGCjKQN6og&index=7
^i guess this is kind of similar (I'm probably insulting people being like NO THATS x SUBGENRE AND COMPLETELY DIFFERENT) i'm really just looking for peaceful as fuck tracks, maybe a little eeriness in them.

Sharing would be dope and appreciative! peace

If you happen to also like hip hop, I can just suggest bonobo. He's actually doing trip hop, a mix of ambient melodys and 2 step beats. Nothing better to chill with, imo.

Then there's haywyre: http://haywyremusic.com/releases/lotus

I can just highly suggest his song "the natural hallucinogen", it's literally what the title says for me. Too bad only his first 2 albums are in this style, his newer ones are more dubstep/electro based.

A bit different genres from what you posted but still mind blowing and emotional. I recommend to take your time and fully listen to all of these.

The M Machine - Luma

Vitalic "repair machines"

vitalic - poney part 1

John Lord Fonda - Brunette Tattoo (Official video)

John Lord Fonda - Orchidée

Octave Minds - Anthem (Audio)

Halcyon on and on is one of the greatest productions ever, I get what you mean about the whole out of body thing, I had the same experience with that song two years ago. Anyway, songs I think you'll enjoy that are kind of similar:

R.I.P Desimal - After Life [True HD Quality]
Saltwater (Original) by Chicane
Delerium - Silence ft. Sarah McLachlan (Tiesto Mix)
B-Complex - its a funny world
The Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia (Fly Away) (Paul van Dyk Remix)
Icicle & Distance - Exhale [Full] [HD/HQ]

Pretty much most of Mt. Eden's work such as the remix he did of Daniel by Bat For Lashes, The Aphex Twin ambient album (I forgot the name), most of B-Complex's stuff such as Beautiful Lies, some tunes off Skream's selftitled album, Zomby's Where Were U In 92' album, etc. Also look up the mixes from Cafe Del Mar, some really good chillout relaxed trance.

Morgenstimmung. Morning Mood. Peer Gynt. Grieg.(begins with nature sounds)

Nah just kidding :euro: This is produced by one of my friends who is mostly playing this on chill-out floors on psy trance events. You will definitely like it I suppose :P the genre is called downstep/psydub
