I'd like to see you take your desktop somewhere. Depends on your lifestyle, really. If you like to sit home all day err day then enjoy your desktop.

Nothing in my life requires me to have a computer with me at all times, as you said on it depends on your lifestyle, however enjoy upgrading components once your laptop becomes outdated, or replacing them if they break.
