There's nothing 'fake' about the borders. The fact that we organize the international community in nation states with borders has very real consequences. More often than not, though, the borders do not occur naturally (except e.g. in cases of island states), which I'm guessing is the point you were trying to make

The point I was making is that I do not identify with the victories or loses of people I don't know because of the random event that we were born inside the same agreed upon borders as if they were my own. Their victories or loses are theirs and I don't go 'we won' or we lost' with them just because we share the same nationality.
I don't mean to hijack the topic into a philosophical national identity discussion but I was just trying to explain the philosophy why Kingjad going "part of me wants to LOL at you for Scotland robbing Norway in the football last month" has no effect on me as we've had an interesting back-and-forth thing over the years here to put it that way
