Fuck Laptops
« on: August 11, 2013, 07:51:05 AM »
Yo guys it's meAgain

I need my own section for Laptop problems I think.

This time it's a 'temporary profile'. It starts up like a complete different 'Profile'. Like all the shit I had on my Desktop doesn't have this profile. If I go on Google Chrome it asks me for acces.

I don't know what I did wrong because yesterday it was completly fine.
Do you guys have a solution, and are wanting to tell me that, I would be soo thankfull...
Also if you have a solution please be clear because things like: 'delete the ......' I probably don't know where it is

Thank you so much for reading and I hope I get this solved aswell.

Cheers, OversizeD

To be honest I don't quite get what your problem is, but since you said yesterday it was all fine: How about a system restore to the earliest point available?

How do I do a system restore?

maybe i entered a guest account and not your own profile while starting up...?
It starts up just like normal saying: Welcome and the spinning thingy.
It doesn't ask me for account switching. It boots and shuts down alot slower now.
I don't know what I did wrong because I do what I normally do.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.

Start - accessories - system tools - system restore.

Try resetting bios settings to default & maybe scan your pc with malwarebytes. Are you using any reg cleaning "pc optimizing" software? If so, delete them & avoid using them. The only good one that exists is Systweak CacheBoost, as it doesn't alter vital pc configs. Maybe try defragging your pc if you don't have that scheduled, set it to defrag once a week to avoid clusters. Scan your pc with MalwareBytes with full scan.

I am not using anything. I have a virus scan on it. And the rest is Java, Winrar and shit like that. + Minecraft and GTA SA. That's basically everything I put on it.

Malware/spyware isn't the same as a virus & even if you have real time shields & firewall up, there is a good chance your anti-virus will not pick up on them, scan the pc in any case to be sure, Malware Bytes is a freeware & the best of its kind.

No Windows 7 Ultimate.

Ehh, it was fixed for 10 minutes... and now it's whining about 'Windows Explorer doesn't work anymore'
If somebody knows the cure for this. I'd be greatfull. If that thing stops working you're screwed. :ajaja:

You can just start it up again if you open task manager, start a new task and fill in "explorer.exe" without the quotation marks.

Though that doesn't work for me, which is why I open up a command prompt as admin and type "sfc /scannow", again without the quotation marks.

I'm sorry but I don't really understand it.. :(

Edit: I think I understand it now...
You want me to go to Start and at Run type in Explorer.exe?
If so, than there is a problem. There is no Taskbar or anything what so ever. All I see is an empty Desktop.

Edit2: 'No system restore points have been made on your Computer's drive.' Something like that it says...
Don't know how to fix that.
It says create a restore point but doesn't help me out much either.

You have your monitors turned off then, nothing you can do about that now, you should turn them back on in case something happens again.

And as to what Mugetsu said, you need to open up taskmanager via ctrl + alt + del -> task manager, right click in the tasks menu, or see the option in the lower right that says "new task", pick that & type in explorer.exe & press ok. Same with the command prompt, just type in cmd hit ok & copy the scan line Mugetsu posted in the command prompt, then hit enter.

I did exactly what you told me to do. And it opened up 'Libraries'. I don't know if that is supposed to happen. But it is what happend.

And I should mention. When I boot up my Laptop and it's on desktop; I click on Google Chrome, it load it shows the loading thingy as cursor. Then it highlights it in the taskbar, then suddenly it disappears. Hope you understand what I tried to write. :P Maybe there is a cure for that aswell.
