Meet The Stunter - Caio

When was the first time you played GTA Vice City? (JustCaus3)
That was almost 10 years ago, in the end of 2003 at a local lan house. I was so amazed when I saw the gameplay and the graphics! I used to spend hours there playing, chilling on the map and running from the cops. I already liked to get on a PCJ and run into every ramp I saw on the map haha

Hey Reynolds, what is your favourite food? (Sava)
I'm not Reynolds and I like bacon and pizza.

Are you a dog or a cat person? (Artifex)
Definately a dog person. I love my girlfriend's dog, she tries to climb my neck everytime I go to her place and doesn't want to leave haha and she's the size of my forearm! Cats are not so funny as that.

What's your favorite stunt?
And what's your favorite stunt by yourself? (Simon)

Hard question Simon :P There are so many that I can't pick one favorite. Kert's grind2wallride in Peace of Mind really surprised the first time I saw it. Barney's huge psm to that BB precision in Monolith was a shocker too. Others that I remember well are Daffy's double-wallride-ledgegrrind from Omicron and your bump2antenna in Saga :D All of them, in my opinion, show a mix of creativity and skills to execute them the way they were done. But if I had to pick one of them it'd be Daffy's, that was beyond sick. And because I love wallride2grinds.

My favorite? Dissimilar's finisher. That was a pain to land :P

Who is your favorite Brazilian stunter? (Plani)
MtS. That guy is a stunting machine and his stunts are completely awesome! I talk to him very often and he keeps landing great stuff, creative combos, stunts with 'different' vehicles, everything :P

Is there another solo of you coming ever?
Why you changed your blue shirt skin to new one?
Why are you no longer donfikeegd? (Art)

Well, I don't stunt a lot to have enough stunts for a regular solo with new stunts, but I started to think on a donfk'd 3 project and it may be coming out soon :)

That skin was getting old in my eyes and I wanted to change it to something different, I asked Herb to make one with the regular Tommy clothing but with a black shirt, and he made that awesome one I use now!

About the name, well, I made that name up when I was 8, and it had no real meaning behind it, it was just a invented nickname. After many years I started to find that the name wasn't that cool anymore and so I stopped using it in the other game accounts I made. And when I changed the skin I finally decided to change my GTAS name too.

Where would your dream holiday be?
If you could live anywhere, where would that be?
How long can you balance on one foot?
Do you have any fears or phobias?
Have you ever been in a sauna?
Are you religious? (Sheeptea)

Probably in one of those tiny islands in the middle of Pacific Ocean, I don't know why.

In the UK. In September I'll go to Glasgow to study there for a year so, well, my dream will come true for some time :D

Let me try... well, I stood for 60 secs and my leg started hurting so I stopped.

I don't like being inside an elevator for too long. And high stairs too. And ferris wheels. I thought it would be fear of heights but the first time I got on a plane it was ok. Weird I know.

Nope.

Nope too, I'm an atheist.

What's the most special memory you remember from your time stunting? (Daffy)
Participating in Fracture. I was a newcomer in GTAS and being part of a community video with most of my favorite stunters was really special for me. I remember it took me two hours to download it and I watched it full of exciment, every stunt was a bigger surprise. I was really happy when I read good comments about my boosts there, I didn't really expect such good feedback. :) Oh, and add Tack's pizzaboy combo to my favorite stunts list!

Your favorite artist/ band and why is said band/ artist your favorite?
Your favorite song and why is said song your favorite?
Your favorite album and why is said album your favorite? (SentitneS)

Rise Against. Their songs were part of my life until a couple of years ago. Their music is great, full of energy and meaning, great to sing along to. I've seen them live three times :D I don't listen to them much nowadays, but that's part of it, they're still my favorites.

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated by Rise Against. It sums up the biggest qualities of the band. I love that song!

American Idiot by Green Day. Wow, it's been almost ten years now since my mom gave me the album and still my favorite! Every song is perfect and unique, not a single filler.

How many people do you think have ever done an airgrab grind?
Out of all the stunts you've done, which one do you think would be the scariest to do in real life? (Sorcery)

I don't remember any specific at the moment, but I'm sure you and Red already landed :D

Never thought about that, but probably a taxi boost or a huge drop from a roof.

Are you excited to go to Scotland?
Why you never appear in skype? (MtS)

A lot. Just bought a brand new suitcase yesterday! I just got a few things left to sort out and then I'm ready to go :)

After msn 'died' I started using the facebook chat, since most of my friends do. I never got used to using skype tbh.

If you instantly learn another language, which would be?
Have you ever modded before in a stunt? Did you get trapped doing that? Or nobody noticed it? (Falldress)

German, I studied it for one semester and it's way too hard for me to learn. lol

Nope, I never realeased a modded stunt, only stunts with 3 cars and 'impossible' set ups. Sometimes I open gravmod and land some absurd stuff but I don't even save the reps, I just do it for fun.

How many tries did it take to land on that bb with taxi from Fracture? (Herb)
That was six years ago! I don't really remember it, but I think it took me 2 months trying on and off. It's annoying because sometimes the taxi blows up wen it hits the tank. :P Oh, and the other one was harder to land.

Have you ever considered playing SA instead of VC? (Oversized)
I tried, but I just can't get used to SA physics, no idea why. SA is fun, there are much more possibilities then VC (different vehicles, a bigger and more detailed map) but I can't land anything good there D: I tried though, I got one stunt released there, done for the BR Stunting League. I won the match for W.O. :D

Through your own observations, how would you say that the stunting 'scene' has evolved/changed throughout the years you've been active, for better and/or worse and do you believe you've had an impact on these changes? (Daffy)
Both the community and the stunting changed a lot. Back then in 2006/2007 the community was way smaller, I knew most of the 'old' stunters and the newcomers. It has naturally growed and we constantly see new faces coming why others quit. This is actually a very good thing and that helps keeping GTAS alive in my opinion (ever since I joined there were people claiming 'STUNTING IS DEAD' and stuff like this, and well, we are still here :D).
However, the competitiveness has changed from something healthy to something, I say, destructive (exaggerating a bit). We used to have the big crews (ATS, WH, TMS) competing for the best video, always pushing limits, coming up with new ideas and surprising everyone. New guys trying to prove their worth for the veterans and get into a network crew or be in a big collab.
It still happens today, but we also see people modding and, what's more sadly, a heavy bashing and a sense of enmity on the videos comments: people firing modding accusations at will with no fundament; others who doesn't give any criticism, just give a harsh comments like "lost 5 stunts, fuck you" "cc sucked" "you lamed 1:23, fuck you". And then the thread turns into a flame war (I'm not accusing anyone, I even started a couple of them :x). In my opinion that's not good for the stunter who made the video or even the ones watching, I know the majority is not like this, and there have always been these kind of harsh people in any community, but it surely has growth other the past few years. It annoys me, it's personal but since your asked I think I should say it :)

About the stunting. I remember we had a big video coming every week and today we only see a network crew releasing a video each six months. I think this happens because of two reasons: 1) spots are harder to find, the maps are restricted and he have to use our creativity to find a new combo or a p2b spot 2) those spots are much harder to land, not because the community requires a higher lever of stunt, but because the easier ones are already landed. I always liked to land combos and I feel this difference, and today I can't stant spending hours in front of the computer searching for a spot and trying it.
That's what's happening, making a good quality video with new and good stunts today takes a lot longer than before. And that's why there are so many not-so-serious-stunting ('fun' 'leftover' and 'time limited') videos nowadays, they are easier and then funnier to make. You have the liberty to land old and 'unusual' stunts and have fun with that without the pressure to impress/schock everyone.
I admire those who still try to push the limits, I didn't imagine those 190~200ft p2b or something like Demon's 150ft p2b2precision in the WH video. That takes a quite long time to land and not many people do it.

To sum up, the community has evolved and it needs the competitiveness to keep evolving not to let stunting die, however, some members take it too seriously and starting have some destructive bahaviour that's not good at all in my opinion.
Stunting has changed a lot too, it's much harder to land the sick stuff today, but we can still have fun and that's what matter.

If I had an impact on GTAS it must have been on the stunting itself. After Fracture I saw some taxi stunt with tanks and after Buttlust, some bus grinds. I even watched a tribute video in which (I can't remember who) landed that bus grind haha. It's always good to see people admiring your work and looking up for it.

Sorry if that was too long and some ideas didn't connect, but I tried to express my best there.

What do you think about VR? How has the crew influenced your stunting career? If you had to mention a few stunters when it comes to stunting, who would that be? (most memorable, most talented, best friend, idol, etc) (Diaz)
VR is great, all of the members are my friends and we used to have a lot of fun with those msn convos. Well, the crew was about it, a bunch of friends stunting together, I don't remember making an audition or even asking for the guys who joined after me for one, it was all about friendship and fun. And it taught me a lot, gave me new ideas and helped me to see stunting in a different way.
A few stunters?
Most memorable: the ones from the start of ATS, Neo, Nitzkit, Kaneda. I started my stunting life watching their videos
Most talented: Daffy, Kaneda, and Kert. They can land everything. With perfect executions.
Best friend: Everyone from VR, even those who left.
Idol: Daffy and BK
Others that I hava to mention: Barney, Tack, TD, Kingjad. They are so many it's hard to list all those names

If every member from CT would come back active and CT would be reborn, would you leave VR for it?
And does CT takes a special place in your stunting career? (The Big V)

I don't think so, my time in CT was great, but the guys from VR are my friends and for me it counts more than the stunting itself. Cola was my best friend in CT, and I used to talk a lot with THEFTman, since he edited my solos. I used to chat a little with brandon and Ruchy, but I never really talked to Question. Anyway, yes, CT is special for me, it was my first crew and I was there when they got a spot in the network place and even edited a video! (poorly, I know, but I did) Me and Ruchy did a big effort to make Symmetry and keep the crew going after the former members left and Symmetry was like a big victory to us. That's my favorite CT video :D

Anything else you want to say to the community?
Keep stunting! That feeling when you finally land that spot after all those hours is worth it! And what's more important, do it for fun, that's what stunting is about. If you like landing big-airs and pushing height limits, DO IT. If you like landing stuff quickly to time-limited videos, DO IT. If you want to try something different, weird, new, DO IT. If you enjoy what you're doing and put that joy in a video, everyone who watch it will like it too :D

I can just imagine you reading the question and being like "Well, better try!" and just standing on one leg by your computer until it started hurting and being like "Why am I doing this?" and just sit down again and continue your day. Wonderful image in my head.

One of the best and most reasonable guys I've had the opportunity to meet in GTAs. It's been a while since I last spoke to you, but man, I wish you the best and have a fucking awesome trip to scotland!

Great read! Good answer on Daffy's question. It's 100% all you said in that answer and I share your opinion.  :jajaja:

We should defenitely do more like these often, even for the not so well known/old members. These kind of stuff brings the community closer and makes us more united.
