« on: February 04, 2013, 03:40:11 AM »
Hey guys i discovered that i can go up to 240 with my bati custom when i do no tire wheelie on multiplayer. on singleplayer i can go max 220.

but that means its not so legal to play MP for stunting

i love when somebody is using his opinion like battleshout. i think its becose of simplenative trainer so its modding. also i was stunting with Promagic and he couldnt reach 240 km/h but i did every time. In SP? i never reach 240km/h

Find a way to stop getting such a speed.

Multiplayer is developed by Rockstar, it's in the base game. So if multiplayer gives you more speed then thats how the game works so its no modding or cheating.

But Promagic can't get this speed. First possibility : he's doin' it wrong. Second possibility : your native trainer is fuckin' up everything (which I doupt) land some stunts, let's say we don't care.

I have lower FPS than him (30 - 50)

FPS doesn't affect speed in GTA IV as I recall.

It does when doing the wheelie method, but it's a very minor difference. Now as for handling, multiplayer makes absolutely no difference. If it did, you'd see handling modifiers in the source code, but there isn't any. However when stunting in multiplayer, you're using the multiplayer player model, which may change the way the vehicle handles (I don't know, but it does in VC/SA). Regardless, it's in the game, and therefore it's a legitimate means of stunting.

Every stunt video you see on Xbox/PS3 in generally recorded in race mode on multiplayer, are they modders too? Stunt in whichever game mode you're most comfortable with, the differences between them are legit.

yes in that wheelie method it does matter if you have 50 or 80 i have 80 but intresting is that on same FPS in singleplayer i cant get that speed. andi  am using SSs config so i dont really know. i will try it today with Promagic without any trainers :) iam intrested if its game mechanic or problem caused by SNT

and about that modding. iam not saying that everybody is modder but i just run into this problem that i go genuenly faster in MP than in SP so i just wanna talk about it. if it will be confirmed that you are getting bigger speeds in MP than stunts landed in SP will be more "pro" and unique.

My issue with this is that the process of distinguishing between SP and MP stunts is needlessly confusing for the general stunting audience. The trainer doesn't change a thing about bike speeds, and multiplayer doesn't have custom handling, so it must be down to the use of different player models. Here's why it's so confusing:

1. The speed of each vehicle is exactly the same unless you're using the wheelie method.
2. The physical differences between each player model are minor at best.
3. People will start to throw around the "modding" term when it's invalid (just look at FL off in VC).
4. What's stopping anyone from switching to the MP player model in single player, or vice versa?

When you consider all of these factors, the differences between SP and MP are extremely cloudy. But really, it's quite simple. The fact is that stunting in multiplayer is not modding, and if they think it's worth it, there's nothing stopping legitimate customers from using the multiplayer player model in single player. If they don't have access to the internet, they could even host a LAN match and gain the same "advantages" without using a trainer.

In my opinion, the whole idea that single player stunting takes more skill is just ridiculous.

FPS doesn't matter with speed you say? No tire wheelie method gives me 200km/h max at around 40 fps. If I put my settings higher I cannot even get near 190. Which equals a fps of 25 for me.

Minor difference? I cannot even land a stunt properly when I put my settings on medium.

Lower FPS = lower speed (when using special methods to gain higher speeds than normal)

sounds pretty logical to me, but then again I know jackshit about IV so I don't really wanna be a smartass

if you mean by regular speed method dipping even that is better on more FPS. you can dipp on NRG up to 180 and thats maximum becose if you put front wheel down your speed will jump back to that 180km/h but if you are doing dipping on 30fps after you are already on 180 you can get max to the 185km/h for a split secound. try it on 80fps and you will get over 190kmh just from "one dipp"  that means

30fps dipping = 5km/h per dipp
80fps dipping = 10-12km/h per dipp

iam really thinking about selling my car and buying new computer just so i can see how it works on 200-300fps

anyone intrested?
j.k.
