I love Endless Thoughts. Great job as always, NicoGamer. I'm not sure what more there is to say than that

I want Endless thoughts on a canvas in my room but there is no space on my wall.  :( When I get my own place somewhere you'll have a customer.

Thanks Simon! Well it depends, the first was done in like 2 hours (considering most stuff was done already because of RYJ (http://runyourjewels.com/) a remix contest). The second was like 3-4 mostly changing looks over and over again until I was satisfied.

The third has taken approx. a few months, the 3d base was already there since last year and I only used it last month for another RYJ work. The 4th was pretty quick, felt like doing something with my new age number, an hour and a half would be pretty exact. 5th was mixing together some 3d renders of mine I created in Cinema 4D, 2-3 hours, trying out different approaches and looks mostly.

6th was around two and a half hours in total, very experimental. The photo was around 1/1000 (ha-ha... photographic joke nic!). And the last was more like 2,5-3 hours, just Photoshop work using brushes to achieve a new look and technique.

Hope you guys are not discouraged to ask questions, especially after this lengthy answer, I like talking about that stuff, haha.

No way  You're an inspiration!
Do you work with a tablet or with a mouse? And how do you go about when you start making one of these? Do you just start doing something random or do you have a special kind of process before starting? Teach me your ways master  :a-cheer:

Tablet, most of the time, when using brushes in PS or AI, painting or just working in detail. Still using the mouse from time to time though. I just start, whenever, whatever I want. The ideas come up as I go. Many start experimental (to test techniques or other stuff out) and then often just evolve into something really clear.

Do you work with brushes or do everything by hand? If both, which one do you prefer?

I'll just stop asking now, before this turns into a Q&A thread  :euro:

Hah, I don't mind Q&A's, it's fun  :euro:

I actually do a lot with brushes, customized of course, in Photoshop I play with textures and all the settings that are available, in Illustrator it's self-drawn stuff I use and manipulate to create completely different things, both program's brush mechanics offer quite a lot possibilities.

If it was for the preferred one, I'd choose Illustrator, most of my past illustrative work has been based on those and wouldn't have been possible without it (Endless Thoughts uses AI brushes). I like my recent tryouts with PS only as well though (best example is the last one).
