Btw, can anyone tell me the best GFX card for NVIDIA and Radeon + compare?
Just look at the most expensive card from each manufacturer.
Currently the GeForce 680's main competition is Radeon HD 7970 and the GeForce 690 which is two 680's built into a single card that's 10% larger than the 680 and it has no competition since AMD/ATi are fucking useless at multi-GPU production and that's even before I start to mention the drivers... ugh... just get a nVIDIA card.

Anyway I suppose the rig I'm building these days are my dream specs as I gave no concern to my budget, just the performance I'm looking for and in case you're wondering it ended up costing 7000USD/5500EUR.
I debated whether I should pick a stronger CPU but I don't see myself need that at this point in time plus
with this setup I can OC a bit should I need it too.

Case: Cooler Master Cosmos II Ultra Tower
Case Fan's: 3xNoctua NF-P12 PWM (2xFront, 1xTop), 1xNoctua NF-P14 FLX (Rear)
Power Supply: Corsair AX1200W
Motherboard: ASUS Rampage IV Extreme Socket 2011
Processor: Intel i7 3930K 6Core Socket 2011
Cooler: Corsair H100
H100 Fan's: 2xNoctua NF-F12 PWM
RAM: Corsair Dominator GT DDR3 1866MHz 32GB CL9 iXMP
Cooler: 2xKingston Hyper-X Cooling Fan's
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 690 Signature
Audio Card: ASUS Xonar D2X
OS Disk: Intel 520 Series 120GB SSD
Gaming Disk: Intel 520 Series 240GB SSD
Storage Disks: Western Digital Caviar Green 4x3TB
Backup Disks: Western Digital Caviar Green 2x3TB
Monitor: Fujitsu 27" P27T-6P
Blu-Ray: ASUS SBW-06D2X-U USB (External)

Sorry for asking, but I suppose is that for gaming-only purposes? Looks like a beast though, nice build :)

Guys I'm going to buy a new PC soon. Maybe in a few days - or either during the GITEX TOUR 2012. I need a supreme desktop computer for video editing purposes. I need all the specification that you know and their prices - tell me any price I'll buy it. If you have a full specifications set please say so with the exact price of everything - and tell me the total price of that PC. I also want a good monitor about 15-16 inch monitor - for cinematic aspects as I'll start to practice that and work on them. Please tell me the PC brand names which I should find other than Alienware. I'm buying a Intel i7 processor - but, I also need to know 'WHICH' processor. You know, there are different versions. I've been having weird discussions with people about NVIDIA GTX 680 & 690. I'm preferring a 690. What video memory should I choose? And what do I need to add to my specification to fill its requirements? PtRvY, told me something before which I forgot.

About the motherboard and all of that - I'm having trouble for it. My computer has overheated a couple of times - almost went nuclear lol. So I'll need a good cooler, I suck at them. If anyone knows a good CMOS battery that could go for a pretty long year - it would be appreciated. For RAM's, it might be about 5-8GB or higher and a HDD (C & D) memory. I sometimes get mixed up between disk memory. About the network stuff - I can handle it. Good audio cards would be good since I'm also following up music making. If there's a good specifications - for programming I would be really happy.

I've been having thoughts of creating a workstation (not those huge ones with dual monitors etc). So if you would give me good prices it would be good too.

It's hard to find the GTX 690 in any PC in this country other than Alienware. So I'll have to buy a different part and add it.

The max budget/price is going to be about 8,500 AED - which is about 2,314$

I want the best of the best for this. Please guys.

With all the stuff you're gonna be buying you'd better take a 1080p monitor and not some crappy 4:3 quadratic plastic object from the stone age.

@Mugetsu: I'm bad with measurements. I really need something good as you say - do you know any?

Sadly I'm not an expert on this topic. I could just say "take the same one I have" and give you a link but I'm sure other people will suggest something that's better for what you'll be doing. :|

Get a samsung synmaster, somewhere between 23-25`, you can get them for really cheap & they're not that bad as long as you know how to color adjust them properly.
