Some people like AMD, some Intel. I'll stick with AMD alltheway.
and btw i told you to get another GPU. i sayd Nvidia 550GTX Ti.
are you kidding me ?, the 9850 tears a 550 ti apart, even with if the 550 was overclocked

I appreciate your help before, but coming from many sources telling me that GTX550 Ti is bad and I suddenly got more budget I went for HD6850. About CPU's, I was going to order Intel but that just too expensive for me. :euro:

Atleast Nvidia has no problem running games like Ati does. well if it was my pc ordering, i would take 550GTX TI.

Since when did taking a GPU for him become your decision?

you really need so much RAM?

Sure

imo you spend unecessary money for that amount of RAM. 4 is enough for sure to normal gaming and working on PC. XP reads only 3,2gb of memory. Win7 32bit 4gb and Win7 64 bit Ultimate 192gb (i guess so). If you thinking about professional video editing, render a lot of things then you're doing it correctly =3

Yeah, only with 64 bit 99% of programs/games go into the x86 (32 bit) directory anyways, so it's really pointless.

That is the same with every card no matter if it is Nvidia or ATI. Both take a while for their drivers to mature.

For your GPU, if you are not going to play any intense games it will be fine.

Intense games ? LOL
My friend got a shitty CPU with GTX550TI and Battlefield 3 settings are ULTRA.

Battlefield isn't really that demanding, a lot of older games run a lot more choppy than it does. If you want to really test it out, try JC2, especially in the city areas.

Those who bash AMD really boggle my mind, the HD 6850 is just perfect.

I'm rocking BF3 on High with an HD5770, Athlon II 3ghz dual core and (2x2)4GB Crosair 1333mhz DDR3 RAM

I also record GTA 4 with high end ENB settings smoothly as seen on my last two videos..

@cheaptea: Main point, if you're going to play at 1080p resolution and high settings this PC will be rock solid at anything you can throw at it that is available right now. The only way this PC is going to struggle if you're trying to run Eyefinity @ ultra settings with 5760x3240 resolution.

Some games might get SLIGHTLY choppy with this PC if you're trying to Fraps, like Crysis 2 @ ULTRA with the official texture pack and DX11. But it'll play just fine if you're not recording.

seriously? :| i can barely run it smoothly on medium settings with my phenom ii 3.20 quad core, 4gbddr3 and gtx550ti. not sure if gtx500ti is really THAT crappy card or something is fucked up with the pc.

SANIndeed, I'm not really rocking ingame because I'm an objective/team player, so you'll find things like WAY too horrible k/d .

I run it at 35-45fps on high and thats smooth for me to enjoy the looks but not to play multiplayer, so I put everything on low to get 60-70+ fps.

Oh yeah? And just curious how much FPS is he getting?

And if you want to be such a smartass, is he even running it at 16x and 4 MSAA? Because it doesn't count as "ultra" if he doesn't have it on. And at what resolution too? Doubt he is running it at 1920x1080 or anything higher than 1280.
