Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree, I don't like the growls either, but I have to work with what I'm given, I can't just ask the guy kindly to stay quiet for a bit, besides, some digression from the theme with aggressive interlude has never hurt anyone, I personally like that kind of progression.
Still, I don't see the epic in Tracker's entry, I can agree that, overall, it is better than mine, but objective wise, I feel much more precisely accomplished than he is.

E: I meant the "work with what I'm given" part in a more superficial manner, as in, I have to work with the song I chose, yet I can't make it please my every desire, I just felt that I can really work with the song, so I overlooked the part that I had minor issues with.

Perfectly understood. We'll see what other judges think. But just to clarify: you weren't given the song, you picked it yourself. ;)

well, determined you did better stuff over your editing career, but your entry looked pretty much fucked up
I mean, I liked first seconds, the cam angles gave me a good expectative so as the little glow, but then came the emo lyrics, breakdown and stuff (that's not the point, but I REALLY want to stand out that) and the glow in the WHOLE vid, imo just fitted at intro
Camera work itself was good, they were cool and well made, but the red-ish crap made the whole enviroment get weird.

tl;dr Everything was cool and intersting, cameras and pancrop work aswell. But for me the red effects and and music brings the video down and it gives less intensity, I see your effort on it, but wasn't used on its full potential.

Voting to tracker

Determined's entry looked like the type of edit to a Dimmu Borgir's song, than on a Two Steps From Hell song. It wasn't epic by it's meaning; Camera work was pretty good tho, but the style of the video itself didn't come up for it.

Tracker was the opposite, chose a non-fitting song, but he managed to create something flawless with camwork and low amount of effects, but the ones that he used were well-placed. Some parts a bit off-sync, and having a better colorcorrector would make it flawless.

Voting for Tracker.

Tracker's entry looks better overall but I can't see the "epic" in here, feels like he cheated to me.

Vote goes to Determined for actually following the objective imo, the song means a lot in this kinda objective, but.. the growling parts.. *wristcut*

Sorry but the judges horribly failed in this battle. Tracker's editing was good but not "epic". Determined's editing wasn't as good but it was what anyone with normal english knowledge would understand as "epic". We are not talking about an "epic" as in "EPIC KILL STRIKE COMBO ZOMFGZZZ!!!!11" but about an "epic" as an epic war. Otherwise the challenge wouldn't have had any thought behind it.
