how do you grind a motorcycle?
 Its incredibly difficult especially whenthe angle is small

Try turning the bike to the direction your grinding. And mind you, some fences and rails in SA isn't even grindable.

yep, try to steer to the direction you're grinding and try to lean forward and backwards to keep you steady

Get next to rail, press gas, pull back into wheelie, turn towards rail and set bike down on said rail while moving.  Lean up to get the back wheel off the ground.  Balance.

Wash rinse repeat.

Once youve got the hang of grinding,its quite easy.Like Cyrix said,wheelie into the rail and counteract any extra rotation that you get,depending on how fast your going

it should also be noted that the faster you're going when you try to get on the rail the harder it is and the more likely you are to twist off the rail. i suggest starting off by simply getting on a rail with no speed in a perpendicular position to get the hang of basic grinding. then try getting on at a 45 degree angle with a little speed.

For Beginners

If you've never even attempted a grind, I recommend using the PCJ for grind one. However, the PCJ is rather unstable on grind two. I'm currently testing all of the bikes, and I can easily say that the NRG is the only bike that can handle grind two properly. Some tips:

+Make sure that you keep your concentration. Lack of it could lose you the grind.
+Packer grinds need momentum, which is why speed must not be too fast, or too slow.
+If there is only a short space to accelerate, push forward slowly until CJ's head is behind the bikes windshield. This will increase CJ's acceleration.
+When hitting a low wall to get onto a fence, make sure you don't pitch the bike up too much when doing a wheelie.

Basic Grinds

This is the easiest way to grind. Here are my recommended locations for basic grinds (in order of difficulty, easy to harder):

There are two rails for this grind. Take your pick.

This grind is on the foot bridge. Take your pick of two rails to grind. Look north when you're on the bridge. If the rail in front of you is the one you're going to grind, make sure you start the grind on the left part of the bridge. If the rail is behind you, make sure you start on the right. Diagram:

Aim your bike at the rail. Make sure the part of the rail you're facing is sloped. This is important when doing the basic grind. Pull a wheelie and when you hit the rail, lean forward to attach onto it. You will begin sliding. Don't get cocky. You will most likely fall off if you get excited and cocky. Both grinds are long, and sometimes you will find the grind difficult because your rear wheel cannot keep pitched up, away from the ground. Therefore, I recommend moving to slot two:

The dark red area is where you usually see the rail pass through the bike. It's infront of the engine, but behind the front wheel. The green area marks the area where it is easier to grind, it's halfway between the front and rear wheel. Lean forward, but DO NOT get an angle of more than roughly 65 degrees. The bike should slide down and stop when it gets to the green area on the bike. Pull back again so you don't go into RED. Grinding in red is very difficult, and I will actually go further than that. It's damned near impossible. The rail passes between the rear wheel and the rear of the engine. Once normal, you will find that you don't need to keep leaning forward to keep the back wheel off of the grind. It will be easier, but keep your concentration. The bike will now be more manuverable on the rail. However, latching on to this slot can be difficult, so try to keep level. Try to keep it out of a pitch of about 20 degrees, up or down.

If you want a smooth exit, you may want to pull back slightly when you get near the end of the rail. Just as the rail ends, pull back so the rear wheel touches the ground, hit the gas and you're outta there!

Advanced Grind

This is a harder, but quicker grind. Find a rail, and park your bike so that the rail is next to it. Give yourself plenty of room to accelerate. Read tips for beginners if you haven't got much space to accelerate. Accelerate to the desired speed of how fast you want the grind to be. Then wheelie. When you are at about a 60 degree angle, turn onto the rail. Immediately balance and if you want, switch to slot two (you should already be in slot two, but on rare occasions you may find yourself on the rail in slot one). Instructions are under Basic Grinds.

High Fence Grind

Grab a Packer and a bike. Park the Packer along side a high metal fence. Grab your bike and accelerate up the ramp at an angle, try not to go straight onto the rail. When you exit the ramp, try and make it so that you exit it at half the width of the ramp. As your back wheel is about to leave the ramp, pull a wheelie. Hopefully, you will have landed sideways, on the fence. Balance, and switching to slot two shouldn't be needed, if you did the grind correctly. Don't go too fast up the ramp, or you will find your bike rotating on the rail, and sliding off.

High Fence Grind 2

If you see a high fence that has the potential to be a great grind with a small wall next to it, you have a great grind setup. Accelerate towards the wall, and pull a wheelie. When you hit the wall, you will need to turn in the direction of the fence. Hopefully, you will land in a grind position. Again, go to fast, and the bike will slide off the rail as it rotates.

Wall Grind

I don't believe in luck. So, I try not to use the word "luck" here. Park a Packer near (but about a meter away) a high wall. Get on your bike, and accelerate towards the Packer. Pull a wheelie when you get halfway up the ramp. Hopefully (not luckily), you should land with slot two latching weakly to the wall. This will take a few tries. Keep at it.

Car Grind

Park a Packer facing a fence. Get your car, and accelerate up onto the rail, but not very quick, otherwise you'll jump straight over the fence.. Hopefully, the rail will pass between one of the front, and on of the rear wheels. These grinds don't usually last long.

Wall-Fence Grind

Get a bike and look for a wall with a fence next to it. (eg:http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/6974/untitled1vd.jpg). Hit the wall while doing a wheelie, and you should bounce off of the wall and land in a grind position.

No, I written it at Gamespot. It's helped a lot of people over there. So, since he's having trouble, I brought it here. There are probably better guides around, so if this confuses you, search for one at gtaforums.

i didnt know how to grinds in SA until yesterday
and today i did about 3 long packer to grind
and 2 long grinds :P
