My First City

Hi all

This is my first map for Vice City (the first large map, I did some others but they are all small).

This is a test map, but I wanted to share.

I hope that it will please you.

For instal the map put gta-vc.exe and data to your root folder of vice city and add all txd and dff from img folder in your gta3.img.

Downlaod YAIE from http://dustcrazy.blogspot.com/search/label/Game%20Modding
instal it and open your GTA3.IMG

Add all txd and dff from: gta ipvfs\img folder.

Put gta-vc.exe and data folder to your Grand Theft Auto Vice City root folder.

(Use a clean gtavc with no map mod, Because i dont remove limitation of object in my exe.)

I hope this will solve the problem.

I was just starting to get into the creation of map and I have many problem http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=496192 sorry for that   :ninja:.

I think it's safe to say that this map needs some landscape variety, it looks a bit stale. And what's with the lowpoly buildings? Couldn't you just delete VC and start with an empty map? You'd have alot more room to work with and the possibility of having more polys in each object.

But yeah I know how hard it is to make a map with the way VC is built up.. It's really not custom-map friendly at all. 10/10 for the effort but this map definitely needs some improvements. Hit me up if you feel you'd like some help in the process, I know a few people with some experience in map building.

Looking forward to seeing your map expand, it's great that people are still doing this!  :)

Thank you for all your comments.

To answer NOAHofDEATH, yes the city is currently low poly. But it 'was mainly a test. I will keep only the road and go all the other 3D models. I have also started another road with bridges and barriers on the sides. But it will have to wait because I have much work to do before they can integrate it in the game  :happy: .

Otherwise the map 've only the beginning of what will be a TC, the aim being to have a new map focused only stunt (stunt missions will be of the game  ;)).
