Vegas Project Problem - PLEASE HELP

I need help please  It's been days since my vegas keeps on freezing. When ever I open any .veg project, it opens. But when I try to open the collab I'm editing, It freeze's on 15%. And then the project doesn't respond at all. 

I sat that time waiting for it to open for about 3 hours. Yet didn't open. 



I know some of you solved this, please don't ignore and answer.

EDIT: NEW PROBLEM ADDED BELOW.

Since I read IceD reply and removed my NewBlueFX. I could one of the worst problems and rarest to be fixed.
Whenever I start Sony Vegas 8, it freezes on 'Initializing Audio Engine'



Please help me guys, this problem were one of the reasons which got me off stunting for a while.

I got a similar situation a while ago, I solved the problem unnistaling newblue, can't really tell what's the matter with yours, but GL

Don't need to uninstall Newblue.

All you gotta do is.

1. Find the Folder where your video clips of your stunts are
2. Rename that folder
3. Start up vegas BUT NOT THE SAVED PROJECT OF YOU COLLAB, just normal default vegas
4. Goto File - Open
5. Find the Saved project of your collab
6. Open it.
7. A box should pop up and say" The following files could not be found in the specified location"
8. Click the "Specify a new location or replacement file"
9. Browse for your renamed folder of where your video clips are
10. Double click any of the video clips within the renamed folder
11. A box should pop up and say " Media file "name of clip" was also found in..." " Do you want to use this location?"
12. Click YES TO ALL.

Whenever you save a Vegas project file, Vegas creates a backup file with the same name but instead of ,veg, the file is .veg.bak. Just remove the .bak part and try to open it.

Since IceD with the first reply, I removed NewBlueFX.

And now I can't even OPEN a empty vegas project. Vegas stops on 'Initializing Audio Engine"
I had this problem before, there was no way to solve it. Even by re-installing. I had to format my pc. AND I'M NOT DOING IT AGAIN. HELP PLEASE. This what actually stopped me from stunting for a while. Cause I had nothing to edit.

95% of those views never had this problem. So stop calling us noobs just because your Vegas is not working properly.

I don't know how did your reply work. But magically it resolved my problem, lmfao.
