That's what make VC stunters better than SA.

You gotta keep moving with 9/6 (or up and down arrows if you put the settings like that)
Mainly grind with the middle of the bike on the engine, you can do it also with the middle between the wheel and engine, but it's more possible to get stucked. Also depends of your velocity too, if you're too fast you'll grind a lot but you're more prone to fall from the bike.

It's hard to explain the most advanced methods of stopping the bike getting stuck in words, the best advice I can give is to just lean back and forth as much as possible without going too far in either direction. You'll learn the rest from experience :)

Some places are more prone to grabbing your bike than others also. Grind the fence out the back of Little Havana (the one with the panel missing) and you'll never get stuck.

Ltab's advice is sound. Grinding with the forks is very high risk for getting stuck, but the engine is low risk. A lot of people will probably tell you they have a 'foolproof' method for not getting stuck, but in my experience it's in the lap of the gods.

The faster the better, engine grinding is much better and leaning forward is advised (so as not to slip back and switch to fork grinding). Outside of that...patience ultimately pays off. Oh, and don't use your accelerator or brake will grinding. That's rule #1.

Also if you want some info about ledge/nose grinds, it's hard to do it because it's more about luck or skills/experience as Paul said.
Ledgegrinds: RULE #1 ALWAYS GRIND WITH THE MIDDLE OF THE ENGINE, if you're grinding only in a straight way, if you're going on a curve or something like that, you may gotta press 9 a lot of times, or keep pressing 9 until the grind finishes. Ledgegrinds can be done in 2 different ways: If the ledge that you're trying to grind it's an angle of 90 degrees, you'll have to press backwards and press 6 with an interlude of a half second/1 second depending of your speed. Sometimes you'll only have to grind pressing 6 without going backwards, you'll discover it when you get more into grinds stuff. The other way of grinding it's: if you're wanting to grind a ledge with 40 degrees, you have to get into the grind ALWAYS with the middle of the engine (you have to be pretty lucky to keep grinding with the middle between wheel and engine). In some cases you don't have to press reverse for a good grind, only 6 as I said on the first one with an interlude of a half second/1 second depending of your speed, and sometimes in extreme circumstances press 9 for get back to a good angle of grinding.

tl;dr you'll learn all the stuff when you get more into VC :)

well I think the best way not to stuck is to use 6 and 9 like the guys said in the comments above and also to lean left and right just a bit and rapidly that will provide like 70-80% not to stuck I mean if the bike is not on 90 degrees on the grind u won't get stuck very easy  :P

I think it was Helios who found a way to never get stuck. And it sure works. It's lame though and looks stupid but anyway.



The reason why you get stuck is because the bike's collision is made out of spheres. You know, those round objects like a basketball. In between them are edges. This is the area you bump with. This "edge" is in the middle of the engine. There is another smaller edge infront of it. This might explain why front wheel griding is high risk. The engine "edge" is alot bigger (atleast that's what I remembered). Which makes it easier to grind with or atleast not get stuck that often. I never saw the collision of cars but well yea.. I guess it's kinda the same.

EDIT:// Forgot to mention that when you adjust the spheres a bit you will get a bike that is non-stuckable while grinding. Kinda cool but lame at the same time..

If I'm not mistaken, the speed of your grind comined with the speed of your leaning forward/back also makes a difference.
What I mean is that when you grind with more speed you don't lean forward/back with the same speed as you do when you grind slowly.

It was something with the polygons in the models I think. I understood it but explaining it is.. really impossible lol.

It was something with the polygons in the models I think. I understood it but explaining it is.. really impossible lol.
