HAAHAHAHAH GOOGLE TRANSLATOR?

I live in London, you bizarre looking viking.
I go to school, I'm well educated. Do not judge me in anyway do you understand?
And you call those banners? And you're telling me I'm the one in need of Google translator.
Mainstream SA editing uses super dark CC's is the biggest myth. You're implying that to enrich your overall capability of contrasting in an argument by having the sincerity to conclude on your point by saying that "You clearly have no clue on how to use those words" is sad. A southern grotesque-looking man would have more knowledge than you, madam.
vikings are awesome.

video:

Music overall 0/10
dont like the music, not my taste

editing 5/10
overedited imo. i give you 5 points for the hard work. well it looks like much work to me.

sunts 8/10
stunts were enjoyable. Opener (static's stunt) was just horrible, that "SCM stuck method" makes me so angry i cant even tell you. Also dont know why that stunt is even the opener / in the video.

I dont think the editing is bad (its quite good if you like to watch overdits), BUT you all should get a bit more handling of the effects, and probably think more about "where do I place them?" to make them fit to the video, I also think that StatiCs part is the best in the video,
anyways, cool video guys^^

sorry guys but that was absolutely terrible, i can see you put a lot of work into this but it's just unwatchable  :neen: next time try to focus more on making an enjoyable video instead of putting on every beat as many effects as you can.

Watching with relatively high expectations. You'll get a full review once I'm done.

Oh and Gavran, don't want to get involved in your arguments, but it's not called a banner, it's called a border :cheersad:

Alright, here's what I think about your individual editings (as I feel this is a primarily editing collar I won't focus on the stunts):

eXe
Actually I enjoyed it more than any other editing by you. It seems like you're starting to take my advice about effect controlling, but I still think that your part falls really short of what it could've been. With such a choice of CC and soundtrack you created a platform for something that'd go great in an overediting video, as it combines calm sounds with plenty of sound effects. However, despite the fact that a lot of your effects weren't bad, the video was all in all obnoxious. You put loads of effects everywhere, whereas I think that it would have been much better if you had a heavy part followed by a calm part, and so on. Not only it keeps the overedit part from getting boring (it really did in your part), it also gives everyone an opportunity to clearly see the stunts. And speaking of which, the stunts were really hard to understand, because of your rapid camera angle changes. However, I think you should definitely try out a few more edits with music like this, just learn that you are the one who controls the editing, and don't put effects just for the sake of effects.
7/10

StatiC
You probably already know this track is old, and even though I feel that Beat did it much more justice, I still enjoyed your part a lot. The CC choice was really good, although it was too dark at some spots. (not saying you should have changed it, but merely fine-tuned it for some specific clips to give more vision) I think you missed out on some good places where you could have applied effects, and at some points you got a little uncreative (mostly the parts with TV Simulator), but all in all  this editing went along with the music well, and the camera angles were all decent.
8/10

Furious
It could have had potential (i spotted quite a few good moments and effects), but the poor and unfitting CC combined with that ugly border completely ruined it. Technical editings are all good, but if they're not backed up by solid elements like these, then the video is never as enjoyable as it could have been. Shame, because your music choice was the best. Another point you could work on is using the artbeats in a more fitting way, I mean, those scratches seemed really out of place for me. Well, nothing more to say I guess... Hope you listen to my advice and do it better next time.
6.5/10

D.JacK
Ahh, another great oldie track! Same as for StatiC, I think that the original editor (Rusch) did a better job, but that's mosty because he didn't make it so monotonous. You've obviously had great potential to make an epic part, but to me it's "just" awesome. You did a great job though, all of your effects were well synchronized to the music, the colors were fine, and the camera angles were for the most part good. The only bad thing about your editing is that it got a little predictable as the part went on, you used a lot of similar effect combos. They were all good, but just look at Rusch's editing to this music - he didn't have many effects, but they were all fitting and diversified: that's why he did a better job.
9/10

Phamus
It was my favourite part, great job! The thing I liked the most was that you didn't sacrifice the flow for the effects' sake, you picked good spots to place most of them and they were fitting for the most part. The camera angles were also okay, the music picked was nice. The only part I disliked was the Brazil interlude, if you're gonna make interludes like that at least make them fit good. That one felt totally out of place. But yeah, other than that, great job, keep trying to make your stuff more polished, but you're definitely on the right track!
9/10

All in all I'm satisfied with this video, although my expectations haven't been fully met. Main advice to all of you, and anyone else who wants to try overediting - Don't lose focus and control. Don't use effects for the sake of effects, but pick a good and fitting spot for them. Never forget about elements such as CC's - they're essential to a good watch, no matter what the video type is. Keep in mind that overediting can always be enjoyable, you just need to know to overedit cleverly.

I didn't like it at all to be honest. There's nothing wrong with using lots of effects but overediting isn't a style, it's something you should try to avoid, and it shows. It's just all over the place, and the style of the video had no real identity other than being 'overedited', because you weren't all going for a central theme. I thought StatiC's editing was by far the best, it certainly had the strongest theme to it. If you all had adopted his theme the video would have been more consistent, but having said that I didn't like any of the edits at all. It just looks bad to see so many boring effects, and the whole pacing of clips was just boring, as well as random camera angles etc. All overediting can achieve is distracting from the stunts, and nobody's watching the video to see you place some filters on a timeline and move some sliders around.

Sorry if I'm being harsh but I just don't get why people overedit, only use effects if they're making the video better. You don't even need to use CC's if you don't want to, you should only be using colour correction to correct the colours of your footage (GTA doesn't need correcting), or to give the video a certain 'look' to it.

OT:
The editing made this video more challenging to watch than it was entertaining or even enjoyable. I can understand how you might feel the need to stand out from the crowd, but this is not quite how it's done.

Well done for jumping into an argument which has already been finished?

Chocolate chip cookie? Or custard cream biscuit?
