Obviously it will be running on R.A.G.E or an upgraded version of R.A.G.E, so yeah it will be high graphics.

Atleast RAGE's optimization for PC was decent. R* fucked everything up on IV tho.

Seems odd that they would have a trailer before publicity screens. Unless the trailer will be a reel of screenshots, or something of that nature. As far as I can remember, the trailers were always preceded by screens.

If it's legit though, I'll be jumpin online on Wednesday to check out. (Maybe Thursday - let the crowds thin out a little)

I think it's always better to see a trailer for a game or a film or anything before you see a picture of it. A picture might be great and get lots of attention and mean something different to everyone but seeing something in motion is so much more detailed. When I look at a screenshot I'm just feeling one image, whereas when I'm watching a trailer I'm seeing thousands of images all at once and it feels far more 'fresh' to me . Like imagine if they had a countdown just for a set of screenshots, it would be really disappointing wouldn't it? Screens can't show the way the game 'feels' in it's animation, the way it sounds, how all the different elements such as traffic and the weather operate around each other etc, and I guess that's why Rockstar always release trailers first, because they're much better at creating a 'shock' value.

Agreed. It's just that a trailer right out of the gate isn't Rockstar's usual M.O. when announcing a new title. It normally goes: announcement, screenshots and info, trailer. That usual course of events makes me a little cynical about this announcement.

That said, Rockstar may be trying a fresh approach this time.
