Layers =|= work. This seems like another dick measuring kinda

You guys could've saved lotta layers by just merging them. Not every object needs an own layer in Vegas lol. Of course it always depends on the wanted stuff, but usually like ~15 are simply enough. Personally I hate having a bigger amount of layers cuz it feels messy, therefore I render lossless parts and just insert them to keep a good overview. I remember downight using around 80 layers ... that's ridiculous.

They're called markers. You place them at some place of interest (for example, a drum hit in a track), and then the clips automatically snap to it.

Position the cursor on the spot where you want to place the marker. Then hit "M" with your keyboard.
