Sony Vegas 8 + Filmclutter [SOLVED]
« on: September 27, 2011, 11:57:34 AM »
Hey Guys I have a question/problem..

So as i see in many video there are some people using film clutter (that are some overlays wich can be used on sony vegas to make some cool effects like some wild lines,some flashes/sparkles etc.)

so i asked the editors wich version of vegas he's using and some said thy're using vegas pro 8 (like me)

but when i drag the film clutter clips into vegas there is just a black clip and nothing more..this happens with everyone if the clips..so how can i use them?

system:
windows 7 ultimate 32bit (86x)
sony vegas pro 8.0a
some plug-ins like new blue fx,magic bullet looks (+ suite),pluginpac,spice masters..

some help here?

This is a fairly common problem I had too. Vegas for some reason sometimes simply refuses to decode the .mov format in which those clips are.

All you got to do is convert them to another format like .avi or .mp4 using any converter. (I recommend FormatFactory)

okay thanks mate...
i noticed this too,because film cluster doesnt work while action essentials,evolution etc. works perfectly..which are .mov files too..i'll give a try on formatfactory

//EDIT:
