The main difference is that the nitro from race mode just takes you up to the max speed of your vehicle, so it's useful to get up to speed quickly. However, the nitro from trainers lets you exceed the max speed of your cars, allowing you to land stuff that's completely impossible without it. So effectively you are speed modding when using the nitro in trainers, you have to go into race mode and use IV's normal nitro instead. btw the nitrous in race mode doesnt takes you to the max speed! it takes you to the lowest speed of the highest gear.. i dont know if its clear.
