Ya shouldn't go for 30 FPS in SA as everything will be sped up by 1/6, that's just not worth the +5 FPS as they're not really noticeable anyway. Also people might start saying stunts got boosted or so.

If you don't speed up the actual clips to 30 fps too and just change the sony vegas settings to 30 fps it will just look blurry but not like 30fps.

Oh, yeah, that's it then. I kinda thought that they look smoother that way  All they do basically is double the render time & fuck up the quality then, right?

I wouldn't say that it doubles the render time but they indeed fuck up the quality. If you randomly pause the rendered video you will notice there are many frames instead of one frame. That shows it's badly motion blurred.
