The first person scene made me shit brix. They really should consider making a first person Spiderman game. :euro:

Sounds interesting, but imo the original spiderman with Tobey Maguire was the best.

You haven't even seen this movie, how can you judge it like that then? :euro:  Original is good I agree but the third sucked really bad, they overhyped Venom in the trailers and showed so little of him in the end, Venom is a villain who deserves much more than that! First one was kinda boring too, I liked the second most. Really don't mind a reboot too. :P

Seriously, they need to stop rebooting great series just to make them darker.
It looks better than the Spiderman with Tobey Maguire I guess, but they will never be able to remake the atmosphere of the first two movies imo.

Nice trailer, but it looks a little too much like deja vu to me. Pretty much the same storyline.. boy gets bitten, finds some cool shit, then becomes some epic hero.

I agree, Venom is one of the greatest characters ever made! And the first person scene looked like Mirror's Edge to me. Can't wait to see this ^^

I wish Marvel could buy the rights to the Spiderman films back. Although, saying that, this looks promising, and I like Marc Webb as a director.

Noone else is Peter Parker except Toby  :neen:
it's like putting a mel gibson in jonny depps place in piratees.

However i like spiderman, so i'll watch it. and yes, Venom is the beast, i was dissapointed when they showed him that less.

Looks promising.
This is like the 90s batman vs the dark knight.

I don't understand this trend of rebooting movies that aren't really that old. Spiderman 3 was '07 - that's only four years ago (for those of you who suck at math). Studios don't seem to know now what they're doing. If you couldn't get Toby for a 4th Spidey installment, then you're done. Reboot Spidey in another 10 or 15 years or whatever.

I can understand the reboot of Batman even though the gap was also pretty small - 8 years. The Schumacher Batmans went from stupid to ludicrous, and as a result the more grass roots, gothic vision of Batman by Burton was completely trashed. But this Spidey 'reboot' just seems like desperation on the part of the studio to create another saga with the same villains.

Examples of other pointless reboots:
The Karate Kid (Huh? He didn't even do Karate!)
Total Recall (A movie based on a movie that was only loosely based on a short story)
Creepshow (So...are they going to follow the original four stories in Creepshow?)
Halloween 3 (Again, are they going to follow the original, which had nothing to do with Michael Myers?)
Poltergeist (WTF?!!? Why would you remake a movie that's already perfect?)
The Birds (See above)
Godzilla (Note to Hollywood - you don't know how to make Godzilla movies, so stop!)
Fright Night (This one really bothers me, because as far as I can tell there's no character of Peter Vincent in the reboot - he was the whole reason the original was fucking called Fright Night!)

If you can't come up with anything that's original, then just re-release the original movies instead of remaking them. In most cases (not all, mind you) the original is superior to any half-assed re-hashing.

On topic: I won't see it only because I've never really been a big Spidey fan. I still haven't seen any of the original movies, despite the fact I'm a big fan of Raimi.
