.jpg render?

I was messing around with SV trying to create some kind of signature for myself and I didn't even ask if it's possible to save picture done in vegas. Is it? I don't mean snapshot from preview, the quality of it even at best settings is pretty bad. I mean render file as picture of any format (.png .bmp .jpg you name it).

i think .avi format had a codec that could make .jpeg preview of the video wich makes picture of every frame in the video and saves it in a folder

Hit that little mouse above the preview window where you make resolution and quality settings. Choose best quality and resolution 1280x720 (in my case) then do what FloW said and you'll get a pic with maximum quality.

In Vegas 9 & 10 you can render the frame to any wanted image file type in the normal rendering panel. On the previous Vegas softwares you can only save snapshots. If you don't have Vegas 9/10 you could do it the way FloW suggested and pick .PNG as file type, that will be a tad better.

Alternatively you could enlarge the preview window to the footage's resolution on highest settings and screen it with that "PrtSc / SysRq" (or whatever it is called in your language) button on your keyboard. Open any picture editing program and press Ctrl + V to insert your screenshot. You can now cut it and save as any wanted picture format.

Vegas 8 fucking damn it  I tried .png best quality snapshot before and here's the result. I'm not really fullfilled with quality but I suppose i gotta live with it

e: Insane, I had 720p chosen when taking this pic but i changed it to 1080p and quality stayed pretty much the same. Maybe it's reccordings

Well, I always use 720p because my PC is quite shitty. Dunno about 1080p...

1024x768  I can't make it any better (well maybe 1280x800). I know that's the reason, now
