Portable music players with best audio output
« on: May 05, 2011, 03:33:59 PM »
Well, since I've turned into an audiophile, my PSP doesn't satisfy my musical needs anymore (specially since I own hi-fi headphones now). Does anyone here have any recommendations?

really? dude. the player doesnt matter. only thing you should worry about besides the headphones is the cable and the jack. buy a new jack thats gold plated for your psp and youre good to go

mine's already gold plated, and the player DOES matter. I've tested sandisk's sansa clip, and it's sound quality is a lot better than the psp's. the psp also doesn't have a custom equalizer, and the presets it has aren't my taste. i'd appreciate if you don't speak out of your ass.

@bd
read the title.... best audio output

i'm not talking bout EQ in general, since every respectable MUSIC player (see, the psp is a gaming/video device, so it's not so shocking that it doesn't have a custom EQ) has a custom EQ.

For example.
The audio quality is good and the durability is excellent.
I got  the 4gb one for more than 5 years now and it's still working very well.

Here's a question not related to the topic. Do you wear full-sized headphones outdoors and how do you feel if you do/ see someone wearing them. I'm asking cause I get stared alot at, but maybe it's just the hillbilly country I live in.

A classmate wore them one day at school. It all looked weird, but cool somewhat.
The next day we saw at least 6 people using their headphones the same way.

Here's a start, why not give a fuck how you look at, at school or anywhere for that matter. You are an individual and what the fuck do you care about how you look for other people? Honestly I couldn't give a fuck less.

As for audio output, I'm not fully sure but there are some phone's/players that support FLAC files so if you want to get best quality I suggest you get those. And of course you would need the FLAC of the music you want to listen, other wise it wouldn't make a difference.

Who says I cared? I'm interesed in other people's psyche. Sheesh, chill the fuck out.

Yea that's what I was going for, that sansaclip mp3 player supports flac but for the life of me I couldn't make any difference at all between a losless song and a 320kbps one.
