Blast From The Past: Vice Grip

Vice Grip Super was put together by one of the modellers at Phantom Studios (way back in the day) as a showcase for their numerous VC car mods. The stunts (both cars and bikes) are obviously helped by extensive tweaking of the handling.cfg, but it really doesn't diminish this vid's entertainment factor - it's a bloody good watch. The car mods are exquisite (despite a notable lack of detail on the underside), and the stunts performed in them have a fantastic elegance about them. The bike stunts are so-so, but keep in mind Vice Grip is some 8 years old.

This is a great vid with a very laid back vibe, and there are some great tie-ins between the lyrics and the content onscreen. As far as I know it was the only VC stunting video made by Jonathan Griffin, but at least it was a memorable one. Enjoy Vice Grip Super.

Haha, first time I hadn't already seen a blast from the past
It was a really enjoyable vid with loads of cool cars! That added a lot of appeal to be honest, would'a been boring with the same modded car on every stunt.

This makes me feel old, (stunting wise) Not only was I around when this was released but I knew Jon and he showed me some of the stuff while he was making this.

I can tell you that back in the day, people were going towards the modded car scene because of decans F40 in his video. Soon after this video people started hating modded stunts and doing them less and less but back then, this was considered legit.

That jumping over the heli with the F40 was a stunt a lot of people were going after, this was the first.

Well I think as long as you don't try to hide the mods, the modded stunting has its own place in the stunting world. Stunting's about fun and modding's about fun but our gtas brand of modders are about deceit and selfishness if you know what I mean.. This is good modding in that it was about fun
