Moo mapper
« on: March 25, 2011, 02:52:26 PM »
Making my own awesome map atm, but when I go ingame the objects I've removed are still there. I can walk straight through them and all that, but it seems the textures still remain there.

Anyone know how I can have them completely removed? Thanks in advance.

just a little note, that's the dff and txd that are still there, the collision is what makes it solid.

A tip I noticed was to move an object before deleting it, drag it to the side or move it up/down then hit delete, do that for every object you remove..

other MM bugs, after you've duplicated objects a shitload of times you'll need to edit the exe using a limit editor and the rotation isn't spot on it moo mapper, objects are slightly skewed in game I noticed so if you're making any complex bits with multiple parts, check it in game as you go to get an idea of what's going on

Does that mean I have to start over?

Kind of an odd glitch. I've used Moomapper quite alot and never ran into anything like this.

You could try going to the maps folder, whatever section your editing, say it was downtows or littleha for example and open that sections IPL. Remove that which you were trying to remove in Moo and save the file. See the model name AND the txd file associated with it's textures are listed there.

they should be the end lines, the IPL is just the instances file so get the names of what you've deleted and if possible get their x,y,z locations then it should be easier in the IPL

for what I said, try deleting a new object and seeing if it works, if it doesn't then going back and restarting could be in vain but if it does work then you could potentially get back to where you currently are quicker than opening the IPL

Couldn't find this "MEd" tool, google isn't being very friendly today. Could you perhaps post a link here?

Also anyone know the ID number of ramps?

I've had it before, I'll see if I can find a link to it although I don't like it, it just doesn't seem as user friendly as Moo :/ *it's been updated more recently though as they've released a version for SA*

I didn't even need to post this then edit it... -.-.... googled "med gta" andit was the 1st bloody link lol

Moo Mapper has given me positioning problems, and the viewing window as well as the toolbars are hard to work with. MEd just makes everything easier imo.

So I tried MEd but I'm still getting the same annoying bug, whatever I delete something it still appears there (unsolid) in the exact same spot. Some buildings are also not solid when I place them somewhere on the map.

This sucks cause I was really looking forward to making some sweet cities :/
