TES 5 : Skyrim

I seriously can't believe there isn't a topic for this game yet, but hopefully it is successful as it's predecessors and yet even better than Morrowind?

Oblivion > all, Morrowind wasn't that good imo, but Skyrim is going to be epic indeed  :jajaja:

Oblivion was indeed a good game. Gonna get this one when it's available. Is there going to be MP?

I used to play Morrowind & Oblivion some years ago, but I didn't follow the story lines that much, rather slaughtered and fucked up everything
It was fun indeed and I'd like to play Skyrim aswell, but my computer won't be able to run it.

Well, it looks really pretty, that's all I can say about it cause there wasn't much gameplay in that trailer.

I spent a lot of time playing oblivion though, I just hope this time they get things right. Swordfights kinda sucked in it, and the bow was damn near useless (until I had a million in sneak and could pelt people with arrows in broad daylight while crouching on open ground). Can't say if being a mage was any good since I pretty much did everything in the game on one character and then quit playing.

Some things I want:

Better voiceacting (and less buggy voiceacting: the beggar with the witch-voice that suddenly spoke like some english snob was ridiculous).

3rd person animations that don't look so fucked up.

Less terrain bugs, seeing a hill 50ft away all pixelated in some square shape even when playing with settings maxed out kinda ruins immersion.

A main quest that doesn't suck. Killing the baddies in oblivion to take the sigil stones got very tedious after the second time, and then you had to do it 10 times more after that. I ended up just jumping/sprinting past everything to get to the end.

Less suicidal crabs. Hmmm, why can't I fasttravel? Oh, I'm in combat with a fucking crab again. Seriously, what the fuck?

And of course less questending bugs that fucks me over. Less bugs overall would be best though :P

Having said that (and still leaving out a lot of stupid things), I still liked it and I'm looking forward to playing Skyrim.

I'm bumping this because fuck bitches... I'm pretty lazy with keeping up with games, I usually just go to a few different forums to see what people are saying and use their posted links/info to go on further searches..ANY WAY... from screens and such we've seen, people no longer look like apes and the other NPC characters seem to have more diversity than "oh a human with pointy ears who's eyes are oddly separated and who appears to of been dead for 3-4 weeks" or "oh a human with a very wide face that seems to have a very thick tan... is that a skin cancer?" so that's a plus.

Dragons will apparently speak, everything will have more diversity as in the landscapes, towns.. etc... towns will have different feels depending on the inhabitants apparently instead of the other races being humans in disguise and there will be more.. runescape/wow style skills or.. minigame/tasks you'll be able to do like cutting tree's, cooking, mining etc :D which sounds awesome as long as it's only a side thing we're not forced to do to much but I'd like there to be some depth to them :)

oh and one thing I'm not as happy about is that the random NPC's will apparently have less dialog :(

-----------

EDIT: forgot to mention, apparently they've been working on animation since new vegas so 3rd person anims should be muuch better :P

ohh and fighting's been revamped, there are finishing moves and suchness... SUCHNESS!

This looks rather amazing, I've played a bit of Oblivion but not a lot which I regret. Gonna hit it up again soon.

Flatface you are getting your hopes up way too much if you think this game is going to fix all of Oblivion's troubles, not the least the rampant bugginess.

I've spent countless hours in both Morrowind and Oblivion, so I didn't hesitate a second to pre-order Skyrim. I literally can't wait til it's released!  :D

Morrowind wasn't that good imo
How can you say that, Morrowind was awesome  :(

i knew the previous elder scrolls were awesome but FUCK ME AND CALL ME A SLUT. this makes me wanna sell my kidney or become a slave to some corporation just so i can get a console and a huge plasma tv. i am a huge fan when it comes to free roam rpg's. This really looks like a virtual reality where you can spend most of your time in, without getting bored AT ALL
