OK, So yesterday I saw one of my friends in class making some wallpapers and it looked kind of fun. And today my other friend also started, so I guess I joined them. Now keep in mind that I'm still learning Photoshop. I'm not the best but I'll try to be posting some of the ones I make here. I'll start with the one I just finished. I dunno if I should link the link or show the picture in the topic. But I'll link them for now because they are pretty big.

For those of you who don't know (I'm guessing everyone) this is April Ryan from my favorite game ever: The Longest Journey. I just wanted to do something with her because it's such and old game and there is not many wallpapers of it.

also what I could have done better or changed.

what can i say it`s too empty for walpaper, you could`ve atleast add some gradiant not just fill with black, the idea with blue line behind is quite cool, but it doesn`t really blends with focal in. still pretty cool for beginer, keep it up, waiting for more :>

I don't know much about PS either, but I think this is pretty nice. Only thing I didn't like were the colours. I think a more aggressive colour would suit this pic better.

Thanks for the feedback both of ya. And the reason it's pretty empty is because I wanted the main focus to be on her. and the colors, I personally like turquoise, Dunno how I ended up with that blue color though. But I'm thinking I wanted harmony so I went for some quarter circle contrasts.


E: Here are two I started working on at school. I don't have any brushes or anything yet so they are pretty empty. Also some help with things I can do to fill these or make them better.

see what beat did, he blended tthat girl perfectly in, that`s what apeals on bg and every gfx work makes appealing, about your last ones, i don`t like teh first one, can`t explain why 
second one is already better, but as i said plain colors are not that cool imo, try some gradients, but not like from black to red or something, take that ink and make light pink, to a bit darker pink, add some cool and eye catching text, and some layer adjustments, and bwhuala you have a nice coolio bg

No, just no.
You don't understand, the colors I chose go with that game, and with the feel I wanted. This wallpaper makes it look like she is the one driving in that car in that IV video of yours. Which is not at all what I wanted.
and I prefer my Wallpapers empty, and with the person/object as the eye catcher.
