This just came out today, pretty tight stuff. Probably my favourite Kanye album.

It's gonna get released on 24th of June if I remember right, but it was uploaded on their Soundcloud page yesterday. Fucking nuts production even though some tunes don't particularly stand out.   :ajaja:

This is pretty much my jam lately.

___

My initial reaction to Yeezus was actually pretty good, but I still have to listen to the album as a whole, gonna buy the album tomorrow.

MBDTF > YEEZ

Prodigy x The Alchemist - Albert Einstein

Here's a line from Roc Marciano's song 'Scarface brotha' I would use to describe it - "Smoother than Pistol Pete Maravich"

Don't know? Better ask around.

Deafheaven - Sunbather

Great production. Calling this black metal might piss some hardcore people off (Neotec?) but I think some parts are pure black metal but with a slightly more melodic approach. Really like this album.

Volto! - Incitare

Danny Carey (drummer for Tool) gets his jazzy side on with Volto!. Jazz fusion with a metal-y twist.

Sigur Rós - Kveikur

I personally prefer Valtari but Kveikur shows a different more groovy and rhythmic side of the Icelandic post-rockers. Saw these guys live in London this year and they blasted my brain out through my nose. In a good way.

Intronaut - Habitual Levitations

Progressive metal/rock at its jazzy core. Strange polyrhythms, heavy guitars and an overall solid album.

QOTSA - ...Like Clockwork

Some people say it's their best but I still prefer Songs for the Deaf. This album feels darker somehow but with the stoner rock influence still there.

This is my AOTYSF, especially the opener 'Dream house' is one of the most emotionally draining songs I have heard this year.

Only listened to her new album once so far, but damn it's catchy and energetic. Definitely gonna hit it up again this week.
