I have been trying this, no need for the packer it only makes you lose speed. The hard part is to maneuver between those pillars which might become annoying after a while.

Dodging the pillars is the easy part. The bump is really annoying. 95% of the time you seem to bump to the right and hit the round thing which fucks you up.
