- Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD7 Motherboard

- Antec Nine Hundred Two Case (Antec 902)

- 4x Generic DDR3 2GB PC-10600/1333 Ram (8gb Ram)

- Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 650W

I'm running an auto clock feature on the tool AMD OverDrive, I hope to get 4000MHz for the Phenom.
The case has a heap of fans and the CPU heatsink is the stock one that they include within the
Phenom ii x6 1090t BE CPU packaging/box.

never buy a AMD CPU if u have the money to get a Intel CPU , but u allready did , its pretty good , but Intel CPU's are faster , pretty great PC u got there , maybe stock heat sink for the CPU when its overclocked isnt enough , wat is ur graphic card ?

You won't hit 4000Ghz, since that would smoke your CPU within microseconds Oh and I wouldn't recommend overclocking with the stock heatsink.

ITT we think 6 cores are good.

oc through bios, not an app. you can do it on stock cooler, as well. the amd stock coolers are decent for a 3.8-4.0ghz. i managed to pull 4ghz on my II 940 back when i had it on stock, ran below 65C on load. this 6 core wont run much hotter than the old 940's. though, i wonder why you didn't get a decent quad rather than a half-assed 6 core.

Yeah couldn't get much more than 3700MHz, so I went back to 3200MHz, it blue screened a couple times

Well, I've gotten it to 4000MHz now... No blue screens as of yet

Is 54.5 a good temperature when under 100% load? it sits at around 24 degrees when idling.

I think thats a pretty fine temperature, yes.
