It shows you what can still be done without BSM's and help of other vehicles..

What still can be done ? most of the stunts they did where pretty old and where done long ago with out the bsms and other shit maby one or 2 was new thats about it.

as for marklund i dont think this vid was a first.

and the only reason i liked this video was because of one or two stunts and the editing.

yes the editing.... the intro was pretty cool over the top a little though the outro was nicely done and the editing of the stunts and the way it went with the music was good also it was nice to see you didnt use the usual seizure flash effect everyone seems to use    which is good for a change  :side: .

anyways erm.....

goodbye

People keep saying how the editing wasn't so great..the intro and intro were great and if you actually notice, almost EVERY stunt has a synch with the beat, whether it be the transition, the actual bump or the landing. I think that is the reason people enjoyed the editing so much..IMO it made it great.

Well, don't see this as an excuse list for all critisism you guys posted the last hours...

Anyway, I wanna thank all peeps who gave their opinion: we will certainly keep them in mind.

3 subjects:

- The Editing:
I can be short about this. ALL CRED'S TO PEP. He is the one with the ideas and the technology. I already invited him over so an answer on related questions will appear soon enough.

- The Music:
(KRRRRRK, stepping on some toes prob.)
I (=me, myself, personal opinion, freedom of speech, whatever)
hated the fact that 99% of Stunt-vids are accompanied by TERRIBLE rock music. We just wanted to do a vid wich would suit OUR musical needs. For the intro/outro I used my own creations and I like the result. Wether or not you like it is in this case a completely relative issue.

- The Stuntin:
As discribed in the main post, I mention all stunters that have posted vid's before. All crews inspired us, but also chased us. A few times our spots came up in, for example, the new ATS-vid. Then those spots/stunts were 'done'.
But to know if something is 'done', you have to see it being done by others.. I admit, some spots were stunted while we knew they were 'done' before. But that only goes for about 2 stunts in each part.
By the making of the vid about 80% was completely new to us. (Hey, corkcrew to stoppie, massive wallride anyone????)

We also discussed the use of bikes or other 'bump-enhancers' to mount every building. They were used, but not as often as in nowadays-vid's. For the simple reason that, nomatter where it is placed, it's still the same stunt: Bumping the pcj, mounting the building. And that is (set aside from the difficulty-level) a bit LAME.

Again, this is not an excuse-list. And I will not tell people to give me oral pleasure because they don't share my view. We did the best we could, and frankly all this fan-/hatemail really motivates me to make another, even better (VC-) vid.

As for 'digging our own graves' by 'leaving' Vice-City @ the end of the vid, two words: GAME OVER. (And a boat CAN turn around you know) nuff said.

Seriously whats so great about the editing, I thought the intro and outro was cool, but the main body of the video was hardly edited at all, it looked like all the stunts had just been whacked together.
Its not about the effects man.. or how much cool stuff u can put in.. its how the whole video comes out and turns out.. really awesome editing doesn't have to have too much flowery stuff and effects.. And this vid.. as i said in my earlier post.. simple yet very very professional looking.. if u get what i mean guys..  :)

Who else agrees?

Hehe...you got me, but I still don't get why so many people "claim" so much in a vid, Game Over they all killed themselves... and then in Carnage 2 Barney said it was gonna be his last vid, and then this one said you were going to SA, why don't/didn't you guys just not say that stuff, you never know what will happen.

I'm gonna get burned by this aren't I?

THANK GOD someone said that.  I see no difference between doing like 20 *SM's in a video, as opposed to doing stunts hardly anyone puts in a video now that were all the rage like 2 years ago.  Retrospective, Roots, call it what you will.

I seriously agree with that 100%

lol @ this

Even if people do a BSM or a PSM or  whatever, they are usually still new and not something we have seen billions of times.

Lame? lol ok whatever you say, but atleast the stunts are new rather than something that has been done, over and over and over again.

Sorry but I'd take a vid with new shit, whether it be BSM or Packer Bumps then a video with shit that has been done by so many people so long ago.

I couldn't care less about people's (Hagz') view on originality concerning BSM's. (not saying i don't hear ya)

But a vid has to be entertaining... and it has brought me 5 pages of entertainment already...

@ Hagz: hope to blow your mind away next time m8, sorry we couldn't please ya.

lol I never said the vid wasn't good or I wasn't pleased. I just didn't get how everyone was like making it sound like it was the best video ever made lol.

I thought the vid was spectacular. Sure there were old stunts and all, but the new ones (to me atleast) completely made up for the old ones and the fillers. The real reason this vid was amazing is because of the editing. And I can't see how people didn't think it was great. Nearly every stunt synched, and there were no flashes or filter changes to excentuate it. The subtle synching (like when pep was grinding the firehouse rail and the music was going "tatatatatatata" then he landed when that part ended. Those kinda things are what make a vid enjoyable. If you're just looking for big effects like the tv scan lines or bluring or whatever you're totally over looking the real fun of the vids. The synching.

It wasn't just you man, many parts weren't synched good.

And all this crap about BSMs and stuff taking up too many stunts in videos? Please don't get me started on how many pole/wall vaults there were in this vid...

Well naturally. The synching can't be all on all the time. Unless you're a god or something.
