My night at the American Carnage Tour.
« on: August 16, 2010, 03:29:40 PM »
I have been to a few concerts like 3 Doors Down, Hinder, Staind, and the Mayhem Fest of '09 ('10 lineup SUCKED)

This was definitely one I will remember! A lineup like Testament, Megadeth, and Slayer, what could go wrong? Only flaw I know of is that after 4 of Slayer's songs, they all sounded the same.

First was Testament. Not too much of a fan of them, I only know one of there songs, "Into The Pit" and they played it. The "Pit" in Camden's Susquehanna Bank Center was definitely rolling good with that on.

Nothing too much to say about them. They were alright.

Between bands, there is a 20-30 minute interval to get ready. My dad and I got some food drinks and all. Where ever you, no matter what, you will hear that one guy yell "SLAYERRRR!!!!" and have  rest of the damn lobby screaming "SLAYERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!" It was quite funny! It was also like that at Mayhem last year.

After the break, Megadeth is up. The opening was so awesome, and so damn true. It was called "Shut Up Be Happy" I will have the lyrics in the spoiler... We interrupt this program with a special bulletin:
America is now under martial law.
All constitutional rights have been suspended.
Stay in your homes.
Do not attempt to contact love ones, insurance agent or attorney.
Shut up.
Do not attempt to think or depression may occur.
Stay in your homes.
Curfew is at 7 PM sharp after work.
Anyone caught outside of gates of their suveillance sectors after curfew will be shot.
Remain calm, do not panic.
Your neighborhood watch officer will be by to collect urine examples in the morning.
Anyone gaught intefering with the collection of urine examples will be shot.
Stay in your homes, remain calm.
The number one enemy of progress is questions.
National security is more important than individual will.
All sports broadcasts will proceed as normal.
No more than two people may gather anywhere without permission.
Use only the drugs described by your boss or supervisor.
Shut up, be happy.
Obey all orders without question.
The comfort you demanded is now mandatory.
Be happy.
At last everything is done for you

Its about a day in Martial Law.

Megadeth fucking tore it up! Hangar 18, Holy Wars, Eye of the Tornado, and my favorite was the encore... "Peace Sells" We all sang along with Dave Mustaine, and how truthful he is. He said

"I am not one of those mother fuckers that say "Oh, you guys are the best" I will fucking say if you guys fucking deserve it, and you know what, you deserve it! Now, heres a song about grinding someones fucking head into a grinder, dont know whether thats legal or not, but I dont give a fuck!"

Hes a boss  ;D

After that, we had the 20-30 minute time interval. This is now when EVERYBODY buy the booze and the weed comes out.

The time everybody waited for. SLAYER. I am not too much of a fan, I only like a few songs (Seasons of the Abyss, Raining Blood, South of Heaven) Its just that they sound the same and I want different. But everybody loved them, and it was one hell of a great show. Looking forward to next year.

Cool story bro
really? it's not funny...

Anyway, sounds like a great time, sometimes the atmosphere can really just make the music asit sounds like it did here.

Then you've probably had a bad show lol. Dave Mustaine sounded more perfect than the studio versions of his music. It was pretty crazy [good]. Dave has been to rehab more than any other metal singer I know of xD
