Halp me plawks
« on: August 06, 2010, 06:32:22 AM »
Hey guys, help me out.

Basically, the problem is, no matter which display settings / fraps settings i choose, the recording is stuck at 10 fps and won't raise, at all. While, in SAiVC, which I installed over the same VC installation, it works perfectly fine and records at whatever framerate I want. Has anyone encountered similar problems? I'd appreciate any kind of advice here.

I really hope someone can help me solve this since it's halting a VC video I'm currently supposed to be editing.

Have you tried a different copy of FRAPS?

try dling a few demo's and seeing if any fix the problem and if they do then go about finding yourself AN OBVIOUSLY LEGAL VERSION OF SAID PROGRAM.

if not then you might just have problems with SAiVC as it's pretty much put together entirely with duct tape.

Already tried two different versions of fraps, that didn't seem to do the trick.

And dunno if you got it right, SAiVC recording works, VC one fails. (which is completely odd because I installed SAiVC over the same, LEGAL version of VC)

Decreasing the resolution + running in windowed mode fixed the problem. Thanks for the tip FF.

It's weird, I can run TF2 on it's highest settings yet when VC starts frapsing and I use a certain res then I get like 10fps... but it's not stuttery, it's a perfectly even 10 fps, no clue what causes it but I changed resolution and I can record decently now.

Before having trouble with AVG screwing up my old fraps.. everything was fine but something to do with all other fraps mean I can't record easily <_<_<_<

EDIT: that's why the FPS seems a bit weird in Gravity, although I like how it turned out :D

Also soz for posting lol, when I finished, I noticed you'd closed it.
