New PC specifications
« on: May 31, 2010, 02:17:02 PM »
Just ordered this PC @ Dell.

-i5 650 processor (yea I know its a dual core but the clock speed is amazing(atleast for me)).
-ATI Radeon HD 5670 1GB graphics card.
-6.144 GB DDR3 Ram
-1.5 TB of HDD ( :a-cheer:)

Most imporatant stuffes I think. Should run IV without laggs and run every game I know properly  :ajaja:
Tell me what you think about this PC. For me its and huge improvement. Cant even get a constant 30 FPS in SA when I'm on the LV highway with the PC I own atm  <_<

Looks cool indeed. Why didnt you go for a quad core? Even if its an AMD, since AMD ones are extremelly cheap. Maybe you could have saved a bit more and go for a 6-Core 1090T. Also, that's a pretty good VGA, you'll probably get a huge jump on your FPS ;)

Then why does it run everything I know without laggs on and has a good FPS rate in all games?  :L

To throw the ball back: Maybe you should have asked us if that car in your signature is good enough for you signature? Its not, sorry for that  :P

Because you play games that don't use the video card too much...GTA 4 for example.

Second thing makes no sense so no comment on that :P

My fucking god... Just think about it for a second: maybe, just maybe, there are better cards than what you've bought and just maybe there are people, like KillaMarci, who knows about this stuff a lot more than you do. He's here to help you guys, don't blame him for telling the facts about your card. Next time find out about what you're going to spend your hundred dollars on before actually spending them.

My ass. Tell us which games you've played with it.

Not exactly a gaminc card, although does the job on most games with low settings.

"The HD 5670 then thoroughly lives up to its acrimonious "mainstream" title. This is very much a card aimed at those who don't understand too much about PCs and while it's commendable for bettering the direct competition in this very competitive segment, it just doesn't offer enough performance, even at these low resolutions, to be worth considering for anyone who knows even a little about PCs and enjoys gaming."

Haha couldn't be said better :P

It's just a fact that everything retailers are selling is pretty much bullcrap (except a few good ones) What you should do is, you should buy all the parts seperately and ask other people if theyre good. I just get goosebumps everytime I hear "Dell".

Serious man, learn to read smilies. I was just trolling/joking  <_<
Second thing: I know stuff about PC's. I am not the dumbest person here when it comes to this stuff. KM is far better at this stuff then me ofcourse and I know that.. (were did I say I didnt?). Also, I dont have the money atm to buy better stuff and my old PC died like 1 week ago and I aint gonna wait for like 4 months before I can actually afford those i7's. nor Nvidea GTX 480's. This was a good PC for little money and it is way better then my old one. I searched for parts on the internet and used sites like Gistron.com were you can pick ever part seperatly. But I got all sorts of trouble with this and it went way above the budget. So I started looking for complete desktops  :) My friend just got a PC from Dell and it runs perfectly. Found this on the same page and fitted what I was hoping for perfectly  :ajaja:

And now @ Mythic: ffs dont reply on this!  :D

Sorry then, I didn't get the joke. KM's car sig is still cool though. :P

nor Nvidea GTX 480's.
Dunno if you've read the reviews but you seriously wouldn't like to afford that card. They say in the news that it's pretty hot summer coming anyway, even without having a Fermi card running in your house.

For KM: Im gonna buy new parts later on when I actually need/want them. Now I atleast have something to start with and I have the right socket for the other CPUs that I might buy later on  ;)
About the cards: It sure isnt the best but it really does run everything. Was going for a 5830 but turned out a little to expensive + it wasnt an option for this PC  :ninja:

Hmkay.

I personally can't wait for the upcoming GTX490...that thing is supposed to output 375Watts of heat from what I've heard :P It's gonna be sooo bad...as bad as the rest of the series basically. :(
