It's like the only thing my dad can think about except for food and ice skating.

And I already had the scariest drift of my life.. so can I drive that Mustang of yours? 

Ok awesome can't wait to see them, could send you a couple pictures of mine too if you wanted, haha I don't mind the car talk, only thing that's recently brought me back checking on the fourms . Haha I love skating too, miss playing hockey actually.

1981 Range Rover Classic, external roll cage, 35" tires, painted orange which weighs about 2 tons or so. Fully prepared for offroad usage.
Can you imagine the car abit?

If yes, then picture a highway and then especially the exit of it which is like half of a circle. Pretty curved.
Then imagine me and my dad taking the turn with around 80km/h. Which was on the edge of what was possible. So my father braked... abit.. really just abit. Then the right rear brake blocked which made us spin to the inside of the curve into a ditch, slamming out of it and tipping over on it's side.



Another time we rolled if off a hill aswell.. My head was facing downwards atleast 3 times. Walked out through the front window. Just.. well.. I can't seem to forget what I saw just before we tipped over for the first roll. That huge gap down.

My father has been doing it for 19 years now. He had 10 different cars for offroad usage. Each car being a better offroad one. They were all pretty cheap but breaking an axle makes you pay alot more  And since I am 18 I was practically raised with the offroad and car "virus". My first offroad experience was when I was 3 years of age. And I have been going ever since. Alot of bad days with breakage or accidents (mostly breakage) but in the end it is all worth it. Most of the time we go with a group containing like 8-12 Land Rovers and stay for the weekend. So we go for the chats with people aswell. Like a big group of people enjoying the same things with the same kind of interests. I don't really know how my father got into it. He was one of the people that helped with the set-up of the first offroad club in Holland. He did alot of motorcross a few years before that but crashed very hard and ever since he refuses to get on a motorbike. 4 wheels is a nice alternative. Ow jeeezzz what a story again. It's all about finding the limit of what you can do with your car, and then push that limit. 



In short: YES  Did you ever wanted to try it out? There are alot of cool places/clubs in Canada

That sounds awesome man, would have loved to be brought up with cars. We live in the country so me and my sister kinda drove a little when we were younger in our family truck around our land but that's about all, only got my learners when I was 17 and didn't drive until I was 18 . It's only when I brought the Mustang that I started falling in love . I love the idea of buying just cheap beaters and building them yourself. Actually recently found a 1968 Chevy Camaro for $1500, has no engine, or tranny, or anything actually, basically just a shell and the whole thing is beaten to shit but I'm really tempted to buy it, just debating how that will effect my plans to go to Australia. What do you think? Should I get it?
Oh that's too bad, so your dad will never get on a bike again? I always wanted my dad to buy another bike, hasn't had one since he left England, he says there is no point over here since you're not allowed to weave around traffic like you can over there .
Off roading is something I've never really considered, more into drag and circuit racing right now. Yeah there's probably some good off roading trails up here, the the mountains would be great I imagine. Too bad our last drag strip just got shut down a month or so ago, loved that place .

Hmm, totally depends on the Camaro I guess. What engine do you want? What tranny? Think of the costs and the amount of time you need to built it and then compare it to what you can buy for that same sort of price. 1500 for such a car is nothing  But a good engine will cost you more then 1000.

And circuit racing is okay I guess. I love go karting but what out of all jobs would be the best job ever for me is WRC driver. You just get such an adrenaline rush when you go through a corner sideways on gravel with way too much begin speed with a late exit. My dream is driving the Dakar once. And I AM gonna do that some day. I just have to. It can wait 10-25 years but I WILL.  Too bad the drag strip closed btw. Going fast is always an awesome feeling and a nice opportunity to find out what you machine can do. So what can your mustang do?

Well the car is really total trash right now, it's been totally striped and I imagine it's been used for dirt oval racing. Could maybe get the price down to $1000 or under since I thing the owner just wants to get rid of it. For engine was thinking of going ether with a new chevy 350 small block crate engine just because it's cheap and it's really just for some fun, or seeing if I can find something in a scrap yard to rebuild. Think for what I'm looking for could maybe do the whole thing for under $4000. And then maybe one day I would have something to do a full restoration. Just thought it could be something fun to take to tracks. From what I can find an already restored Camaro you wont find for under $30,000.
Wow the Dakar would be insane, that's gotta be the toughest race ever. Goodluck doing it dude that would be an amazing experience. Haha need a co-driver ?
Track closed before I got a chance to find out . Was going to take it last event of the season, they cancelled the event to get a quicker start on demolishing location and turning it into a landfill. I have no idea how the idiot that decided demolishing a track for a landfill was a good idea got elected. Fucking idiots.
