What did you think about this Batman Reynolds ? I remember loving it when I was a kid, better than the sequels but maybe a bit under the last 2 with Christian Bale. Nicholson is immense as Joker though :)
Well the performance by Jack Nicholson was really great, I watched it as a kid too but I couldn't remember anything about it though. Still it's one of my favorites. Also I don't think Batman Begins and The Dark Night are sequels of this ( or that one with Arnold Schwarzenegger and George Clooney :P)

I vividly remember the fervor surrounding Burton's Batman way back in '89. Apart from maybe Avatar, it was the last time a movie generated that much media and merchandising hype.

...and personally, I think Ledger was the better Joker. Much more sinister.

I meant sequels as others batman(s) not as followers, my bad wrong use of language.

Oh really Kaneda ? Didn't know it got that hyped at it's release even for a Burton's.
From the rest of memories I have concerning Nicholson's act, I agree that Ledger is way more sinister and plays the joker almost perfectly.

But I've always been a Nicholson's fan, especially because the illness he tries to transmit to the spectator seems so true. I believe Nicholson is mentally sick to play that well disturbed roles

Watched the second half on TV, pretty nicely made movie, the camera shots when flying are greatly made and the scenario is pretty nicely packed up. Unexpected ending

Pretty good documentary. Morrison made and killed The Doors in 5 years, funny to see how a little documentary can sum up the brief history of a group that still resonates nowadays and sells a million albums a year  :euro:

realy liked this one  :)
i too
I found it pretty boring tbh, I wouldn't say that it's bad, it has some interesting plot points, but it's not funny at all, for me at least. It seemed like they were trying to rehash the original, everything was the same, just the setting & some characters were changed.

Hard to describe, the movie had moments of brilliance and dullness, some parts were a bit unclear but it still was ok.
It could've been much better, but the atmosphere makes it one of the most beautiful movies from the 90s imo.
