Best Albums of 09
« on: January 08, 2010, 10:37:14 PM »
Suggest some.

1. Pure Reason Revolution - Amor Vincit Omnia - First time I listened to this was 1 day ago and now I'm addicted to this band. This album is full of electronics and weird synths, overproduced really nicely. For me this is the album of the year.
Recommended tracks - Deus Ex Machina, Victorious Cupid, Les Malheurs.

2. Wolfmother - Cosmic Egg - If you listened to their debut self titled album, I want you to know this rocks harder and the riffs are more clever while they still keep the rock n roll feeling of their first.
Recommended tracks - New Moon Rising, 10,000 Feet, Cosmic Egg.

DT is miles away ahead other bands but this album was not that good imo. A bit dissapointed of it, maybe my expectations were too high. Still one of the best of 09. :)

Not going to change anything :P, something's that's the worst for you is the best for someone else, like it has always been.

hmm, alright I'm bored; top 5 in no order

Wardruna - Runaljod -- Gap Var Ginnunga

cool norse folk stuff, uses legitimate instruments too (deer drum skin, etc)

Om - God is Good

cool, chanty ambient sorta folk stuff, great basslines.

Devin Townsend Project - Addicted!

Just great tunes all around, great happy metal

Converge - Axe To Fall

Catchy riffs, great leads, just some of the best converge imo

Drudkh - Microcosmos

just great riffs, awesome atmospheric black metal.

oh and baseline they are not miles ahead of all other bands if they can't fucking stop making the same songs over and over
