Skillet - Awake

Three Days Grace - Life Starts Now
Seriously, those two suck ass, I was looking forward to both of them and I was like "FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" when I heard them. Bland lyrics, poor songwriting and minimal innovation. I like both bands but these albums suck imho.

My top three of the year, in descending order of awesomeness.

Toe - For Long Tomorrow

Good complex math rock style stuff. Not quite as good as their last LP, but still brilliant. Also, best drummer evar.

Arms and Sleepers - Matador

Electronic/ambient/post-rock-ish. Really good atmospheric music, not too aggressive but not boring either. Good driving music.

Beardfish - Destined Solitaire

Great release once again from one of my favorite prog rock bands.

That's why you don't like alternative that much, not everybody has the same taste :P

To be honest, at one point I have to agree with you, the new TDG album wasn't that good as the others

Fedex: Yeh, 21st Century Breakdown was an awesome one, but I got to dissagree with you about Dead By Sunrises' (I expected a lot more) and about Papa Roach's (not as good as the others but still a good one)

This one was the best in my opinion

A couple of others from 2009 that were awesome

and
