I've tried many spots over the years but that spot is up there with the most annoying spots ever, slipped off it far too much.

Makes me wonder if speed has anything to do with length when boosting. I seem to just get lucky with a weird spin forwards but guess that's a product of speed. Anyway:

Depends on how you hit the wall when boosting. But speed surely affects your distance, but this boost is not a great example for that.
