MAKING A SIGNATURE
with vmx

Part 1
Getting started

Hey guys! Rest of you have Photoshop, if not download it from a torrent site (lol), I highly recommend CS2 cause the size of it is pretty small and it has all the important things. Im using it too.

Step 1 - Getting the stock
Go and choose a picture, ill be using one I took from SA.
Used camhack to get the angle and maxed out the settings ingame.

Step 2 - Copying &Resizing
Open photoshop, go to file>new and choose a resolution.
Ill choose 500x140. Choose the Marquee select tool (http://www.mediacollege.com/adobe/photoshop/tool/images/toolbox.gif ) and select the part of your pic you want in the sig. [Ctrl + V] Paste it on the canvas [CTRL + P]. The next step is really easy but looks really ugly if you do it in a bad way. Press CTRL + T, at the upper left corner there will be a little square shaped dot, hold your mouse on that and move it WHILE HOLDING SHIFT, so it wont look fucked up ( :P ) . If you chose the right size then click somewhere inside the square that appeared when you pressed CTRL + T, and move your pic. If you did everything well it should look like this:

Step 3 - Brightness & Contrast

Choose that option really handly option ( http://www.photoshopessentials.com/images/photo-editing/brightness-contrast/brightness-contrast-adjustment.gif ) and go mess around with it, will be easy to figure out. It makes your sig darker or more brighter. Im going to add -5 brighntess and +5 contrast. The amount of it depends on the colours of your pic.

Step 4 - Coloring

Choose the Photo filter option ( Layer > New adjustment layer > Photo filter ), and again, mess around with it, until you like the result. I added a soft sepia tone. :)

Step 5 - Finishing touches.

You can add a border + some lighting work and textures, can also add a text too to make it look better.
But remember, keep it simple!
Also, save it with File>Save as.

Hope you liked it!
Sorry for my poor english and the quality, did it in a rush :(

Hold shift while pulling a corner in CTRL-T to keep the same aspects.
