CPU Issue

hey,

I've bought a new cpu, an amd 5000+ x2 for xtra low price and i put it to ze computer , i turn it on and the monitor doesn't do anything just that little green stuff flashing near one of the buttons. if i put my older cpu back it works again but meh it sucks big times and i want to use the new one.. i've been searching solutions for this issue and some ppl said i should reset my bios but i have no idea how to (help appreciated) . also my motherboard is kinda old but i don't know if that could cause that

help?

Does your cpu support your ram?  :hmm:
Is it the correct socket for your mobo?

huh no idea.. how could i check if it does?

Gigabyte Ga-m61sme-s2
two 512mb 667 ddr2 rams (  ;D ) gettin 2 gb tomorrow
geforce 8600gt
and now i use my pwnage amd 3200+
