while i was using XP and Vista i used the predator from trust after that thing died, i bought the Sidewinder X5 of microsoft and worked ok on vista. so its not the mouse itself, its the game.

Talking about GTA VC/SA? I have the same problem, it's a problem with GTA, I don't know what. What I do is pause, right click the mouse, un-pause and see if I can move the mouse. Just do this rapidly until it works :).

Happens to me as well, Dunno why.
Doesn't really annoy me though, usually just shake it a bit after pressing esc.

This really pisses me off. In VC its not too noticable since you cant mouse look in vehicles anyway. But in SA its horrible. Keep having to ESC out to the menu until it works again. That itself is annoying as sometimes when I ESC the game just freezes with a blank screen with no way out, meaning I have to do a full restart.
