Some sites don't work :(
« on: November 09, 2008, 10:59:38 AM »
For some reason some websites just stopped working 3 days ago. They used to work before with no problem.I didn't change any settings on Firefox, IE or Opera. My internet connection is fine.I googled for help, but couldn't find the answer to my problem. The websites that don't work are FF,rapidshare.de(.com works fine),TGA, www.zamunda.net , www.arenabg.com and YouTube ..... i am sure there are other ones but those are the websites i checked so far. I really need an answer to this problem because it's annoying as hell, so if anyone has ANY suggestions please give me some advide

I had a similar case a while ago... My comp let me on most sites, but not on all. For example, all the search engines (e.g google), were blocked. I found out that my Windows folder was infected, and no software could get rid of the infected files. I decided to reformat and tighten my security.

Life is sad.

I have a feeling it's from the router because my father's PC (my old one) has the same problem....but we bought the router about 2 weeks ago but the problem appeared in 3 days

- clean your dns cache
- update your browser and disable plugins
- try in safemode with network support

I'd also suggest to delete the cache of your browser and the cookies. Also, look if the router is blocking the sites due to "bad words", a filter setting which you can use to block web sites.

Oh and forgot to mention, all sites (including the search engines) DID work on my laptop with my connection in my case, just not on the PC.
