if you can hear the sound, that's codecs problem.

Hmm... this is a hart problem. It doesn't works with codecs.... I think you must format you computer and then reinstalling Windows O:

What the hell you're telling to him...

First thing you should do is stop listening to those who doesn't seem to know a fuck before going to formatting or anything bigger.

1) Record one clip with Fraps on VC, doesn't matter what is it
2) Drag it into Vegas and render it as a .wmv file with some random settings.
3) Still black screen?

k look mate, try reinstalling SV once more(be sure u reboot after uninstalation , and again after instalation) , then, download xvid codec pack)(free) or get dvix codec pack one, that is trial like 15 days..
also, update ur SV to newest version 8.0b...
hope this works,.. if not make me know, ill try to help more, regards....
